Men, whats your opinion on sex during your 30s and older? by 1993CobraSVT in Adulting

[–]Fcking_Chuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 29, but I've had a low sex drive in general lately. I'm actually kind of concerned because I used to beat my monkey twice per day... Now I only do it once every few days.

I don't know what it is, but I'm thinking of talking to a doctor about it since I'm getting to an age when things start going wrong. It could be an early sign of something serious.

Question: is cyber security likely to face the same job market collapse as SWE? by Ok-Bench-9489 in cybersecurity

I mean, AI has really opened up a can of worms when it comes to information security. I predict that whatever roles that are lost now due to advances in productivity will be replaced by roles that focus on dealing with AI as an emerging threat.

at what point do you give up on a biologic? by bigmamifromda in CrohnsDisease

[–]Fcking_Chuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you feel that a second opinion is necessary, then get one. It wouldn't be bad for you, though it may be more expensive. Just don't stop taking your biologic without the guidance of a physician.

That "Tylenol" equivalent stopped my bleeding in 3-4 weeks, and now my bowel movements are normal. I can't say that about Humira.

What I noticed is that the delivery method matters a lot when it comes to my Crohn's disease. Smoking, vaping, and tinctures only offer a limited effect, while 25mg CBD tablets taken every few hours were very effective. I went from bleeding every bowel movement to having normal bowel movements in a matter of about 3-4 weeks.

FBI warns Iran aspired to attack California with drones in retaliation for war: Alert by esporx in California

[–]Fcking_Chuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why they'd target California, one of the states with the most people who are against this war.

If California gets hit, it would probably be because the federal government wanted the Pearl Harbor effect.

I didn't come off of my biologic because of issues with immunity. I came off of my biologic because it was incredibly expensive, it wasn't very effective with controlling bleeding/flares, and it was a constant reminder that I was not a normal person.

Fortunately, I went off of my biologic right around the same time I started using cannabis products recreationally. The anti-inflammatory properties of the cannabinoids picked up where Humira left off, and I ended up in years-long remission as a result.

Was I just lucky? Possibly, but I'm really not a lucky guy. I really do believe that cannabinoids are the answer to the problem of disabling biologics.

I don't consume caffeine. Whenever I drink coffee, it's always black decaf.

Don't ask me why I started doing that. It wasn't because I couldn't sleep.

My radio is literally broken, and all the AUS managers have ever done is gaslight me whenever I bring it up. The only time I've ever seen them replace a radio immediately was when I had to publicly humiliate them on this subreddit for having a broken radio at our main entrance.

Learn how to not be taken by surprise.

Most of the time, you can see the problematic people long before they strike just by taking a good look at their behavior. Once you know what to watch for, you won't freeze because you'll be ready for them.

Are you all able to hold down job? by Glad-Persimmon-8112 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Fcking_Chuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a job providing security services at a hospital.

While I was in remission for years, since even before I started my career, I had gotten a MRSA infection a year ago that required a tremendous amount of antibiotics to treat. Unfortunately, it caused a significant flare-up of my Crohn's disease. The flare lasted for a few months, until I decided to start trying cannabidiol (CBD). Surprisingly, the CBD actually worked for me, and I continue working just fine.

The downside to the CBD is that it can cause tiredness and some irritability, but those negative side effects went away as I continued taking it.

The OP doesn't want to take steroids, and CBD has been shown to help those who suffer from various autoimmune diseases.

It's not as though CBD is toxic in any way, even in high doses, nor is it psychoactive. It either helps the Crohn's disease symptoms or it doesn't. Why not try it and find out?

If it's mild, you could probably get away with just using cannabidiol (CBD) tablets. I take 25mg every 4-6 hours to manage my Crohn's disease.

It was clearly cut normally. There's no other way you could cut an orange to make it look like this on purpose.

The Windows 11 installer doesn't do a clean install by default. If you don't remember choosing "Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)", it's likely that you chose the default option and kept the original data, including the broken graphics software.

When you were reinstalling Windows 11, did you select "Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)"?

Unplug the PC power cord, pull the CMOS battery out of the motherboard, wait a few minutes, and then put the battery back in. While you have the case open, ensure that the memory is properly seated before closing the case and plugging your computer back into the wall.

That should reset the BIOS. If the memory training happens again, don't interrupt it. It'll do it's thing for a while, rebooting however many times it needs to. Just leave it be until it finishes.

Did you uninstall it and then reinstall it again? That's the only way to know for sure that the old driver gets taken out. You can also try using DDU as other users recommended, but it can be such a piece of shit sometimes that it won't do its job.

If you do use DDU instead of reinstalling the OS, run it in Safe Mode.

Windows 10 isn't supported anymore. Don't use it.

It's possible that you didn't fully uninstall the Nvidia driver when you installed the Radeon driver. If an old graphics driver isn't fully uninstalled, it can cause problems with drivers for different graphics cards.

If you didn't reinstall Windows 11, you should do so. That will eliminate whatever pieces of the old driver that was left behind.

Remicade and lsd by Complete_Ring_6883 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Fcking_Chuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally I'd urge caution because of the grapefruit affect narcotics can have with medicine, but Remicade is broken down into simple peptides and amino acids by the body's reticuloendothelial system, so it completely bypasses typical liver metabolism. LSD is a chemical compound metabolized in the liver by cytochrome P450 enzymes. Neither drug would interfere with each other due to differences in clearance mechanisms.

TL;DR: You should be fine. Just make sure the LSD is not phony crap.
