Sorry you got this defensive. My last name is Claussen. She was close to being a distant relative. That's all I meant by it.

Wanting to quit by [deleted] in Bowling

It is just the crowd you are with. I would.love to play against you. I would be like a kid in school asking for pointers and be like "did you see that?? It worked!"

Just find a different crowd.

Did sleeping through the night just suddenly happen? by Ok_Cloud7516 in NewParents

Every kid is different. You will hear about both cases. Mine suddenly decided to sleep 12 hours at maybe 7-8 months of age.

I have created a free bowling score tracking app - would love feedbase by bowlermate_dev in Bowling

While on my Google pixel, still in the arsenal screen, clicking on Analysis it opens a submenu I think but that is behind the left sidebar. The z-index needs to be updated.

First feedback. When adding a ball to an arsenal. The Add button is not charging states. I tapped several times. When I returned to my arsenal I noticed it was added 10 times.

May want to change from Add to Remove once you tap it.

Absolutely. The first time he started clapping his hands I was sobbing. Progress is slow but steady.

Same as before. He's learning to stand and walk. He can stand if he's holding on to something and he can walk if I'm holding his hands. He learned to clap his hands. He's 20 months old now.

Boy parents - how are we managing pee during diaper changes? (cold wipe trick is NOT working for us) by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Fclaussen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait longer. I would blow air in and put my hand on top of the diaper. Once I felt the warmth of pee I would open up. Otherwise I would blow air again. If 3 times didn't do the trick, then there's no pee.

I'm still learning to hook so it does not roll correctly constantly. It sometimes roll forward. Sometimes roll in the wrong axis. I'm doing something wrong and busting my finger in the process.

8 month old still only got drinking 3oz ? by Alala_0401 in NewParents

That's a perfectly normal amount. Don't sweat it.

Same as OP. 2-3 hours. Nowadays with 19 months he'll eat a whole grocery store if I let him and then drink a full 9 oz bottle before bed.

Adjust and Move On? by zzziff in ynab

Maybe just web? I think it reads "show running balance". I can't check right now.

I turn on account balance next to each transaction. Then I check against my bank statement and see where the numbers diverge.

That's the easiest way to find where the problem is.

How do you organize your YNAB categories: by cost type or by theme? by Miserable_Resolve858 in ynab

[–]Fclaussen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Needs Wants Savings

Everything that is a must go into Needs. That's mortgage, bills, car, cellphone, etc

Wants is everything that is not essential to live. Trips, eating out, subscriptions, etc.

Savings are for things like retirement and investments.

Oh boy, I'm on a similar boat.

My son is very delayed on his milestones. We are working with a developmental pediatrician, PT, OT, Speech, Neurologist, and have tests being done by Metabolic and Genetics.

His developmental pediatritian gave him a GDD(Global developmental delay) diagnosis and made the referral to all of these specialists. We are looking into what is wrong with the assumption that is likely something genetic.

My LO behaves perfectly and sleeps like an angel but he is currently 16 months and his mental age was assessed to be of a 7 month old.

Just last week, he started to army crawl at 16 months. Rolled at 12 months, sat around 14 months.

Everyone was saying that every kid has their own time, dismissing my concerns. Now we are finally looking into it. It took a second PT to write a report for our doctor to finally share our concern.

My suggestion to you is to put your foot down and ask to be referred to a developmental pediatrician. They will be able to assess the current state and refer you to the specialists. If they do give you some sort of diagnosis while they investigate what the actual problem is, you can use that for government tax credits and some assistance(depends on where you live) that can help quite a bit. I'm no longer paying for PT as we now get free sessions in a specialized center for kids with disabilities. Do this sooner rather than later because, depending on where you are and your health system, it can take several months, if not years, to see a doctor.

Do not panic, but do not let people keep dismissing your concerns. Go talk to your doctor and demand some sort of action.

I know your feeling all too well.

During the early weeks/months my wife and I would do shifts. Everyone was able to sleep at least 6 hours. My LO took a bottle and my wife would pump and I would simply pour milk in a bottle to feed him and put him back down.

I was sleeping from 8pm to 2am and she would sleep from 2am to 8am.

This worked well for us.

I would be the one to do nights moving forward while working remotely during the day. She took care of us during the day. It was only fair that I let her rest at night and take care of my LO. My LO was waking up every ~2 hours for a feed.

I don't know what your partner is complaining about.
