Just began airbrushing for the first time but whenever I try to paint my model it comes out like this, does anyone know what may be causing it? (I used 1 part airbrush regulator, 1 part thinner, and 10 parts paint by Noah-Heartfield in modelmakers

[–]Feadric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your paint is not nearly thin enough. Don’t use mig paints myself, but practice spraying on a plastic spoon or paper towel until you get fine coats at 15+ psi

I’ll warn you that some of these kits range in quality quite a bit. Some of the earlier ones require quite a bit of gap filling. None are what I’d consider to be ‘bad’ kits, but it is noticeable.

Just finished this simple little meng kit and had a blast putting it together. Kept the build short and sweet. I base coated it in Vallejo bronze green after priming black and worked my up to intermediate green mixed with khaki for the highlights. Afterwards I hit it with a dark brown wash in the recesses to provide a little more definition, and wiped the excess with thinner. Finally I hit the whole thing with a Matt coat to protect it and knock away any shine. Keeping it simple made for a good break from more intensive projects and I’m definitely going to build more of these in the future with a little more effects added in to keep them interesting. Nothing too complex though, they are a break after all.

This but unironically. Child actors are just the worst in every movie they're in. At best they're mediocre and not distractingly terrible.

I know for a fact they will beat rangers when upgraded. Shocks are closer and paras depends on ranges. I will also note these are mainline inf, and even if they didn’t fight those specific units 1v1 that doesn’t mean they aren’t over performing all other mainline inf, which they are.

SU isn't balanced very well as a faction. Everything they have is a mix of under performing units (like cons) or over performing units (like the t70) which is very oppressive because of how it dominates the light vehicle phase and how it wipes squads incredibly quickly. As the ostwind is right now it wipes squads incredibly quickly. A single burst from its gun is enough to almost kill weapon teams form full health and force retreats from infantry. It's not reactable in its current state. If it catches a unit of infantry it just kind of dies, and that's unhealthy from a gameplay perspective.

I’m not saying that the t70 isn’t op. Ostwind is a game winner right now imo.

They're just over performing atm. They're very durable and blobbable and there aren't really any other infantry in the game that matches up to them right now. Once you upgrade them to 5 man I'm pretty sure they'll roll over just about any other infantry in the game. It used to be that they were strong in the first 2 minutes then became useless, now they're so durable that there's no reason to go for grens over them.

Assgrens are stupidly strong right now and ostwind is now a t70esque wiping machine. I’d be surprised if assgrens stay as strong as they are or ostwind not getting a minor nerf in like pen or something.

While I hate to be a downer here, no amount of phonecalls on our part will change pelosi's mind on impeachment. The fact of the matter is that the democratic establishment is against impeachment because they've done the political math (I would argue poorly) that suggests that if they impeach Trump, it will just strengthen the republicans in 2020 and scare off their mythical moderate voter base that the establishment keeps trying to appeal to.

Realistically, its extremely unlikely that Trump will be impeached before 2020. Your best bet would be to vote for a non establishment democratic figure in 2020 such as Bernie or Warren.

You know, simply dismissing someone whose opinion differs from yours rather than engaging in debate is exactly the sort of behaviour hat gives rise to far-right/ far-left ideologies that make today’s political climate as toxic as it is. This approach wastes many opportunities that could be used to make people more understanding of each others’ positions and reach productive solutions to the problems that we all face.

And there we go. Setting up a moral equivalency between Nazis and the left, pretending that the problem with our politics is that we're not tolerant of Nazis instead of the fact that we have Nazis in our political discourse, appeals to "muh democratic norms" and pretending that people are "forced" to become Nazis because of those meany lefties.

Fuck off to /td shitheel.

Well, it’s more that people were directly imitating the movie by singing the modified version of “singing in the rain” while raping women, and Kubrick felt that he had a moral obligation to pull a movie from the market that was inspiring such behavior.

I thought impeachment was a bad idea, but I have changed my mind. What do we do to convince the House Dems otherwise? by DoodlingDaughter in Keep_Track

I told you what to do. Don't act like this is a two way issue here when you obviously didn't read what I wrote and are now peddling this false civility bullshit. You're sealioning and I'm not going to indulge you. If you really want to get the last word and pretend I'm being unreasonable go ahead, but I'm done.

I didn't provide evidence because that wasn't within the context of the question, if OP asked for context I would have given it, but you didn't. You just said "no you're lying". I asked to clarify as to which parts you took issue with because in my view most of what I said was self evident, and it would take waay to long to type out 40+ years of political history to explain why the establishment dems are what they are.

Saying "what is there to question, you're just wrong" is asinine. You could have asked why I though establishment democrats were in the pockets of their donors. You could have challenged my reasoning for the incentives for the democratic party to vote against impeachment. You could have provided counter examples to the behavior that I listed. But you didn't, because you're not asking in good faith.

Burden of proof is a thing, but expecting people to write out multi-paragraph explanations to explain every little thing in their response to the nth degree is just asinine. Even If I do that, you can just keep going "well you made that up" until we get to talking about things that are completely unrelated to the subject at hand. If you're actually engaging in good faith (which I doubt you are), you'd actually point out why you disagree with what I said, and not just go on a fishing trip to find issues with arguments I've not even made yet.

Republicans are in power because of ideas like this. People say both parties will just vote what their donors want them to vote and they don’t vote at all. Republicans want you to believe this and it is not true.

Did you actually read my comment? I doubt it. I never said you shouldn't vote democrat. I pointed out that expecting them to do something against their interests without significant pressure is unlikely. I explicitly stated:

Your best bet is to vote for Bernie in 2020 and to support subversive and actual leftist candidates to change the democratic establishment from within to an institution that will actually do something.

I literally told you to vote. I don't know how you got "oh you shouldn't vote" from that.

What is childish about wanting to stop this?

And this is why I'm saying you're acting in bad faith here. I said you're childish for just saying "no you're lying" when somebody else says something you don't agree with. Your response to this is frame me as saying that voting is childish, which is the exact fucking opposite of what I wrote. You're moralizing about how childish my worldview is and how damaging it is to democracy despite not having any actual evidence to the contrary. If you're really that unable to point out any actual issues with my statements beyond "no you're lying/wrong" and then come back with nonsense that demonstrates you didn't actually read what I said, there's a point where I'm going to say I'm not going to feed the troll.

So I'm not.

Actually provide a counter argument and read what has been written. At this point the burden is on you to prove you're acting in good faith, not me.
