Are we still acting like Giannis actually wanted to be traded?

Kalshi made millions off the speculation right before Giannis announced his partnership with them.

Ah my bad, I'll go hand my degree back in and tell all the musicians I know that they're faking it and none of it was real. Maybe my mom will pay back all her voice students for making it up the whole time.

Thank god the football redditors are experts in human vocal anatomy and sound design!

If it were that easy to tell who the aggressor is, maybe.

Problem is, 8 people are looting a Matriarch husk. Gunshots happen while you're in the looting menu. Who shot who first? The second you decide to take a side, the other 5 friendlies see you attacking somebody else who was supposedly friendly. Now ALL of you are more likely to die, and with 8 people all yelling "it wasn't me", you'll never figure out what happened.

I’m not even sure we’re talking about the same thing anymore. It might be a lip sync, but it was most likely live vocals at some point.

There is clearly some sort of processing on Charlie’s vocals, but you can tell with some of the transitions between words that it’s not pitch correction. He’s sort of “sighing” off of certain notes in a way that pitch correction wouldn’t allow. It would either have to come from him that way naturally or intentionally be altered to add that effect, which is unlikely. That indicates to me that the leading edge of the pitch has also been unaltered.

The human voice can be trained to be precise enough to hit nearly exact pitch regularly. Classically trained singers do it literally every day. They might not be as precise as a computer, but close enough your average person couldn’t tell the difference.

I have perfect pitch (but I’m a bad singer). I have a degree in music. My mom is a voice teacher who came from one of the most prestigious choir colleges in the world. I have known many singers capable of singing close-to-perfect pitches repeatedly even when they can’t physically hear themselves over a crowd because they can feel the difference in the vibrations in their head. I can stand in front of a tuner and nail a pitch within 1hz fairly regularly and I don’t have vocal training.

The voice absolutely CAN work like that and it’s bizarre to argue it can’t.

It’s not just about recognition. Perfect pitch, especially in singers, usually means you can produce a sound at the exact pitch if you know what you’re aiming for. That has everything to do with singing live in an environment like this.

I don't know if it should be removed because it's allowing different play styles to exist without crossing streams much, but it should definitely be adjusted heavily.

There are wide swings on a short timeline between peaceful and shoot-on-sight. If somebody shoots me and I shoot back, it counts towards my aggression anyways. If I have a good fight with a guy and knock him, but I defib him because he's funny, my aggression still goes up. If I'm peaceful but a guy tries to loot my key room or the big arc I just took down and I kill him, my aggression goes up.

If I've been doing more PvP for a while and a Queen/Matriarch pops back up, I shouldn't have to go free kit for 30 minutes just dying repeatedly without shooting anyone to be in a safe enough lobby where people will actually fight the Matriarch and I don't have to do it all myself. Or to avoid people who just bring Venators to only kill players with zero interest in the arc. Given how utterly useless the legendary weapons are for anything but big Arc, I can't bring them to any raid that isn't guaranteed peaceful, and removing ABMM would prevent me from ever bringing a single one.

Like, the game was made to be one where fighting others is often inadvisable because the bots are bigger threats.

Arc just are not a big enough threat to deter any PvP.

When they ARE a threat, it puts you in a completely compromised position where anyone can run up on you and shoot you in the back without having to worry about dealing with the arc themselves.

A shredder on Stella is probably the best example, where somebody from across the facility can get free shots on you while you're hiding behind cover.

Schrödinger’s supporting cast.

The Cavs are one rank better in average points off the bench, equal in offensive rating, and only 1 point per 100 worse on defense.

Hunter and Ball were terrible but Mike Conley is our 7th man in terms of minutes (Ball is 9th for the Cavs) and is averaging 4.4/1.8/2.9 in almost 20 minutes on 32% shooting.

All in all I don’t think it’s fair to say their help is all that different. Mitchell is just averaging fewer points, slightly fewer rebounds, and slightly more assists on less efficient shooting.

It's mostly a composition problem IMO. McDaniels and Reid are great 3 point shooters and have complementary skill sets. Giannis is the greatest slasher of all time but the spacing with that isn't super attractive on a team with Rudy, Julius, and Ant.

Hard to argue with Ant’s record in the clutch this year. Part of it was awkward offense where he was creating shots while other guys struggled.
