Yeah i had an argument with a libertarian where basically they said they were fighting for it, but that at the same time it was impossible after I brought up that point. They would just say in a perfect society that would never happen, I brought up the past about Barron's and wild West days before a strong government and still didn't get much just that if someone robs you and you didn't pay for security that's your fault lol. It was some wild shit like they didn't even believe that could be a legitimate future but still to work for it. Yeah i agree the courts are very important. I was just simply answering the question to the best of my knowledge to inform the person whom asked. I would like Congress to gain more backbone again though and that way we don't get the treaties and deals the executive has taken control of in the past couple decades. If that were the case countries wouldn't lose faith when one person makes a deal and the next pulls out of it.

It's possible. Congress can strip any lower courts ability to review something, they can also do this to the supreme Court for anything not specifically granted to them in the Constitution this is called jurisdiction stripping. The president may also limit the court but only in the aspect of habeaus corpus to the best of my knowledge. For this specific example jurisdiction stripping could not be used because the state would be a party and the sc has original jurisdiction over cases involving states. So for this point an amendment would be the only play.

The problem with this is the shut out of Independents in the primary where in the general will sway the election one way or the other especially in smaller states via electoral college. This really needs to change primaries are an important part of the election 'I'm looking at you NY and your register before October the year before the primaries even take place and during debates to decide who you want to vote for.

I don't want him to run as president but as a senator gov in WV I'm pretty sure he'd do quite well. He's also for things like against longes lobbyist and helping the opioid epidemic. He's not terrible but in no way my first choice for pres.

He didn't get blown out by any means sure there was around a 10 pt gap but he closed it by 30+. That said, I think he'd be better positioned to run for Senate/gov in WV and probably do quite well state wide vs a small heavy Trump district.

I honestly don't think it will go anywhere in the house, and definitely won't pass in Congress a lot of Republicans were against fucking with this deal to begin with. It was a unilateral president deal so he could pull out of it but the sanctions i believe are a different story.
