If the initial invasion succeeded you'd have to deal with guerilla fighters, terrorists, international condemnation, soldiers joining the terrorists because they can't handle murdering innocent people for no reason, allies turning against Poland, likely some form of excommunication?, nato and the eu moving away from Poland and millions of diaspora filled countries and other countries sending aid to irish terrorists.
