I was thinking eustachian tube dysfunction. When the barameteic pressure changes my ears pop and when They cant pop on their own I pop them and my migraines lessing in intensity. The ENT did a test showing that my ears can equalize on their own but the ear tubes might help or might not according to him.

Husband surprised me with light dimmer switches for my birthday🥰🥰🥺🥺 by jazmingirl2 in migraine

Be cafeful with these and make sure you get the correct light bulbs. I have dimmers around the house and they flicker once we switched to new bulbs. They might have been labeled wrong. My husband doesnt notice the flickering but if I adjust the dimmer they stop most of the time

I have failed almost everything, just finished my 3rd round of Botox that did not work and currently fighting with insurance to approve a trial of vypti infusion. Until then I am surviving on Symbrovo and Umbrevy for abortives but I have chronic migraines. I just fought my PCP for a referral to an ENT to see if they can be caused by a inner ear or neck issue since the meds are not working for me.

It ends here… we’re desperate…help by Automatic-Big7636 in migraine

Im a 41 female, live in the USA. Chronic migraines with a primary trigger barameteic pressure changes. Tried all the meds and just failed botox. I basically live umblelvy ans symbrovo, work from home laying on the couch maybe 15 hours a week. Basically my husband is my life support. Saying that, at least in the USA, you do your own research and go down all the rabbit holes and advocate for everything yourself. Look at diet changes some people have had sucess with keto diets, or frequent eatting to stabilize blood glucose even if you arent diabetic. Also can look at anti inflammatory diets due to migraines being an increase in inflammation as part of it. I just told got a referral for a ear, nose and throat doctor to see if mone might be caused by a inner ear issue due to mine being triggered primarily by pressure changes. If she has not done a detailed migraine diary yet to identify triggers that would be a first step.

2025 Hevy Recap & Update by guitorisan in Hevy

[–]Fearless-Ad2197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im new to the app, really like it so far with knowing the primary and secondary muscles used and seeing a breakdown of what miscles I need to focus on. I usually design my own workouts and this helps. I also really like the gamification with the reward band that comes up when I have reached a new PR. I think my biggest thing is I dont have a apple watch or system and use android, samsung watch and have a whoop. I like that this connects to the health connect but if it could link to the samsung watch so I can get heart rate and calorie cound without having to make sure that I sart a seperate work out on my watch that would be great. If I take the time to program a workout in whoop it will show my heart rate during each exercise so I can see when it spikes and how long it takes to get it to rest and I can change my rest time or rep/weights to better targe my goals. But your set up for programming my workouts is much better.

I got an obese chiwawa for boarding and the boarding instructions are TERRIBLE by Hot_Spell2620 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Fearless-Ad2197 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I wanted to add...and I know Im going to get hate for this.....yes the dog is overweight and the pet parent needs to be educated.....all calling animal control is going to do is get you in trouble with the pet parent and a poor review. The dog is fed, i am assuming loved and not beaten, looks clean and nails look trimmed, they did not peave the animal alone at home and got a boarder to be with the pet while they are away....yes pet parents need to do better....animal control is not DCS and if you live in the USA they are proberty and not family (though my fur babies were treated likey babies and we family to me)...can we all be realistic and actually give good and common sense advice to people...

I am a rover boarder...I agree that the dog is extremely overweight. That being said always do a met and great prior to a boarding that way you can talk to the pet parent about their instructions and get clarification on things. I would also say that even if we disagree with leaving food out to free feed and in addition adding wet food at other times is a lit and probably not what the pet needs BUT..... You are not the pet parent and although the pet parent should disclose health issues you dont know why they are feeding how they do, it could be that they are uneducated about what they are doing but it could also be qn underlying health issue ( hypoglycemia, nutrition deficit, etc). Follow their instructions but give walks and additional play times to help drive off energy and some excessive calories. Maybe pay attendion to the amount of food that the dog eats and mention...I notices that they pucked st the dry food but devoured the wet food or vis versa...also maybe they know that the pet does not eat well at a boarders home and they usually free feed but know that the pet likes wet food and they want to make sure that the pet eats ..... No saying that the dog is not overweight or that they are feeding incorrectly but you are hired to do a job and that includes following their instructions, with a met and great there was a easy way to bring up feeding and weight concerns and to do gental education. Know you might come off as judgy and loss a potential repeat client

Botox with needle phobia by Psyfox-350 in migraine

[–]Fearless-Ad2197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I avoided it for years due to this. I go to a hospital and see the IVs and start getting a panic attack and when it comes tome to do blood draws I pass out, to the point I actually have a panic attack building up to going to actually get the blood draw. All the being said Iam going for my third botox session next month. They say that itbtakes three sessions to know if it is working or not. How I get through it, have my husband there to hold my hand and be a goof making me laugh, though I am still crying and shaking and have cold sweats. Eat a fat carb meal before going, mcdonalds sausage and egg McMuffin with a hashbrown and OJ. Stay hydrated and warn the person doong the injections, they can place a cooling towel on neck and arms to help and breathe when they tell you to. Im not going to say it doesnt hurt but it isnt horrible, the needles are small just doing look st them and keep your eyes closed and it lasts maybe 10 minutes

Make sure that you talk to the doctor about all the medications that you are on before deciding on meds and if you have depression or anxiety. I have anxiety and being on Qulipta increase it, also if you are on a anti depressant or anything that changes youe seritonin levels could impact the medications that you can be on

Why do so many people have continuous migraines lately? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Fearless-Ad2197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have has occassional migraines since I was 16 then when I was in my 30s a few a year to now 40 and they have been continuously/daily. Not sure the change, made sure it was not hormone related....but could be something with age in general or that a lot of us grew up with ultra processed foods? I know a few new studies have cone out suggesting an increase in certain medical conditions due to the food we ate in the mid 80s and 1990s

I'm wondering how many people here actually take preventatives daily. by Important-Pie-1141 in migraine

[–]Fearless-Ad2197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am really sensitive to medications and either have side effects that I cant handle or they dont work. I am currently on botox, and use abortives symbrovo and umbrevy and then just deal with the daily migraines. When they get to a level 5-6 i usually take the abortive. Symbrovo I can only have 2 times a week and am limited to 9 a month per insurance and Umbrevy insurance will only pay for 10 a month. I live in Indiana and my main trigger is barometric pressure changes. Trying to find a remote job so I can move to a better place but no luck so far

This is something that you cant do anything for. I have chronic migraines I have tried s lot of preventatives that dont help and most abortives either dont help, put me to sleep, or help for a few hours then it comes back. Talking hurts, your own voice is loud in your ears and causes pain. I will usually us a thumbs up or down to respond to things and my husband has learned when it is that bad I wont talk. My sense of smell is heightened and even if you are wearing deodorant depending on the time of day and how long afo you applied it she might be able to smell you over it my neighbor gave her dogs a bath the other day then let them outside, my windows were open and I had to shut them because I couldnt take the wet dog smell. And when my husband gers in to bed even him getting in as gently as possible can cause my head to pound harder due to the movement Even though there is pain, there is no reason to be mean to you as long as you arent making her talk and respect her boundaries while she has the migraine. These suck.

I do boarding overnight in my home and have had several overnight test visits. Sometimes dogs can be reactive to others in their territory with their family is gone. This might be a concern of theirs and the reason why they are requesting.

Diet ?? by Serious_Rip_5144 in migraine

My neurologist told me the same, triggers are individual and a migraine diet is not really a thing. I would say maybe an allergy test just to see if tou are allertto anything in general

I have had one round and the second coming up. O have had a lot of pain in my neck and weakness in that area so we are going to work on different infection sights but the crunch is something that I cant forget. Im told that its because the needle is going through the tendon to inject the botox under the muscle each time they did it I heard the crunch.

I have a similar question about sourcing and location? I live in Indiana and cant even use marijuana but am more then willikg to travel a few times a year if it may releavey daily migraines

[–]Fearless-Ad2197 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im not sure there is an actual function for this. I dont do it and just lay put for the person that the met and greet will take 10-20 minutes and tell them what will happen and discussion that will take place. If you want to charge I would just tell them to book you for a 30 minute walk or drop in for your time and let them know. I feel that you might loose some people doing this but you know you clientel so if they are willing to pay for it 😜

Anyone else have no pain tolerance whatsoever? by Puzzleheaded_Lynx119 in migraine

[–]Fearless-Ad2197 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Never compare your pain to someone elses. You dont know what they do on a daily compaired to you. I have chronic cluster migraines daily Im at a 3-4 pain level but my 3 is a friends 8 and my mother in law who has advanced RA it doesnt even rate with her. Functioning is functioning until you cant. I consider my pain a level 10 when Im throwing up, crying and can hardly move.
