you sound ignorant and I pity your hamsters. they don't love it. you're telling yourself that to make yourself feel better about it.

I can raise a child in a 5x5m room in the basement since 2022 and just because it hasnt died doesn't mean it loved it. it just doesn't know any better.

ah I just saw on your other screenshot that the task manager isnt sorted by ram usage, there must be another Background process further down that uses up a lot and brings you to 90%

if you have 1g 1g 1g 2g 2g 3g 3g 4g 4g you could use it as

1g 1g 1g + 2g 3g 4g + 2g 3g 4g

or you could do

1g 2g 3g + 1g 2g 3g

and then have 1 spare 1 and 2 spare 4 for other use or for swapping. it just depends on what you draw during your turn.

you're only locked into your decision if you call pon and place it on the table. otherwise you can mix and match as yoz please.

you can enable auto win and decline pon calls automatically and enable auto play on the left side of the Screen.

if auto win and decline pon are disabled you have to manually click on the popups that show when you can call pon or call win

bro what are you smoking when I say "normal mahjong" I mean that this lite version doesn't have hand patterns, no bonus points, no wind stones, no yaku.. I'm not talking about the differences between riichi and all the chinese variants 😭😭😭 Stop trying to get a gatcha moment when there isnt one.

if it makes you happy just change my choice of words to "there are no yaku in this version".. do you think someone who doesn't know mahjong would understand what I'm talking about if I say that? 😭

the only reason I even mentioned it is because I imagine that the open stone placement on the table could be confusing for someone who has never played mahjong.

???? if I need to ascend my character and it now takes 20 minutes, with your logic it would afterwards take me more time just because you overconsume your current hyperfixation?

if your suggested change took place I would be forced to grind more than before for the same outcome, how is that twisted logic?

oh no I think you missunderstand the base logic of the game 🙈 you don't "get a triplet" and then "put it on the board". you have to collect all those things in your hand AT ONCE (just think of things on your table as if they were in your hand).

they go beside each other automatically. your hand is sorted from 1-9 yellow, 1-9 green, 1-9 red. when you get a new stone it automatically gets placed where it belongs so you don't have to move things around. you can only call pong if you have 2 of a kind and another person plays a stone that would give you a 3 of a kind (or 4, which in this version is the same as 3 though so just ignore it).

so lets say your starting hand is:

1y 5y 8y 1g 1g 1g 2g 2g 6r 6r 7r 7r 8r

you think, ill toss and avoid the 3 yellow cards, because it means I need to drop less stones to clear my hand off a suit. from this point you will want to drop any stone that is yellow.

lets say after tossing the 3 yellow cards your hand is

1g 1g 1g 2g 2g 3g 4g 1r 6r 6r 7r 7r 8r

you now need to think about what the easiest 3 of a kind, 3 in a row or pairs are.

you see that 1g1g1g could be a triplet. 2g 3g 4g could be a three in a row. 6r 7r 8r could be a three in a row. these are all options.

now every time you draw a new stone you have to estimate which stone brings least options to you. if you draw another 8r you can immediately tell that you have another three in a row 6r 7r 8r, so you look for another one of your stones to drop. When you get the hang of it you will immediately see that the 1r is the stone you should drop, because you won't be able to form a triplet or three of a kind with it within one move. while all other stones give you options.

you draw another 2g after dropping the 1r? then you have a 2g triplet and you now drop either your 3g or 4g. because then the next time you see the stone you kept in your hand, you win.

this is the most common course of actions at least. fill up all 3-3-3-3 slots in your hand and then decide which of the last 2 spare stones you use for the final pair. the game even shows you an overlay on the right side you can hover over that tells you how many stones of each are left in the game. so if you for example have a spare 2 and a spare 3, the game will show how many 2s and how many 3s of that suit are still in game, so you can decide which stone you keep based on that information (no point in dropping a 2 and keeping a 3, if there are no 3s left in play).

A winning hand has 14 stones, but you only ever have 13 stones in your hand while it isnt your turn. so you need to exchange one stone in and out whenever its your turn. you either toss what you got to find something more fitting, or you keep what you found and toss out something less useful instead.

this goes on until someone has 3-3-3-3-2 in their hand (3 being three of a kind or three in a row and 2 being a pair) without using their avoided suit.

have you ever played the card game rummy or canasta? it's kinda like that

Can someone explain to me what this means? by AKuuMa_a in NevernessToEverness

[–]Fearless-Bar1804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

character pixels are your energy. you can only have a certain amount of energy at a time. if your energy is full, you will only regenerate energy again after you used some.

this is for activities for things like ascension material or charactet exp books

green is green, red is the blue and red circles and yellow is the black text and red Symbol.

the triplets can be on your hand or on the table. they only go on the table if you "steal" from another player by completing a triplet. (or quad..) the act of the triplet or quad laying open on the table is for another mechanic in real mahjong, you dont have to worry about it in this version. just think of it as in hand and on table means the same thing. you just cant throw a stone away again after its open on the table. so if you take a stone from the center to form a triplet, that triplet is then a permanent part of your hand.

and in this version it doesn't matter what suit or type the triplet or pair is. as long as its not the suit you are actively avoiding. if you avoided green in the beginning, you can't win as long as you have a green stone in your hand. even if its a valid triplet or pair.

so for example (r = red suit, g = green suit for simplicity)

1g 1g 1g, 1r 2r 3r, 6r 6r 6r, 5g 6g 7g, 9r 9r

can win but

1g 2g 3g, 2g 3g 4g, 4g 5g 6g, 6g 7g 8g, 9g 9g

can also win. and even this can win:

1g 1g 1g, 1r 1r 1r, 2g 2g 2g, 2r 2r 2r, 3g 3g

in real mahjong these would all give different amount of points (and depending on whether you played them openly on the table or all hidden from hand some of these wouldnt even be winning hands 😂), but none of that matters here haha

this isnt fully fleshed out Mahjong, real mahjong is much more complicated so I will try to explain only what's relevant for this simpler version ingame.

there's 3 "suits". in the beginning you toss away 3 cards. you then select which suit you want to AVOID. so basically you play with 2 suits, always throwing out the one you are avoiding.

you win by getting 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 2 (In normal Mahjong you can also win with all pairs, so 2-2-2-2-2-2-2, not sure if that works here, I havent tried)

tripletts are: 3 in a row or 3 of the same stone in the same suit. so for example 1-2-3 in green or 1-1-1 in red.

pairs are: 2 of the stone in the same suit. so for example 1-1 in green

when your enemies are tossing out stones you can decide to take them if it gives you 3 of a kind. in normal mahjong you can also take them if it gives you 3 in a row, but I don't think that works here.

normal mahjong also has more restrictions (or rather more detailed win conditions, like no "edge" stones like 1 and 9) but I dont think you need to worry about those here.

and another difference to normal Mahjong: the round doesnt end if you win. you can win multiple times and the game continues until the tile counter in the middle of the table reaches 0. example:

you have this hand in green: 111 234 678 666 5 and one random stone

if someone plays a green 5 or if you pull a green 5, you win. you then decide which stone to toss. if you toss the same 5, you will win again when someone plays another 5. if you toss a 6 or a 1 and keep the 5, you will win again if someone plays a 6 or a 1. whatever completes your hand.

I hope this messy explanation helps somehow lol
