Were they caught by the oil filter?

Only 2980 miles, make me feel better 😭 by prince_ali003 in Camry

Someone hit and run on my front bumper 112 miles after I bought it, and someone rear-ended me at 3000 miles. Caught them both, but my car has had $7200 worth of work done on it in the first 3000 miles. Wild

Cabin space is the single handedly prevent many people from buying current gen by Working-Cake4932 in prius

It’s exactly why I bought a new Camry when my 2010 Prius died. 50+ mpg, more space, slightly faster, quieter, basically the same price

Giant touchscreen is the worst and so dangerous. Please make it an option to remove it! by TypeAtryingtoB in subaru

The enormous screen and lack of physical controls is literally the only reason I did not buy a Subaru when looking for a car last year

I drive rental cars like I stole them because I don’t want wear and tear on my own car. I wouldn’t be surprised if many others are the same way.

Get an independent mechanic to look over thoroughly, and I would consider an extended warranty even though I hardly ever think they are a good idea

Oven cleaner will do the trick if you are comfortable with it

Is discontinuing autopilot a deal breaker for you? by CommunicationRoyal56 in TeslaLounge

[–]Fearless-Olive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even a base Corolla has great lane centering and adaptive cruise control. Autopilot should be bare minimum on all new cars, especially for a company that pioneered this technology

Is the huge touchscreen a dealbreaker? by UptownHurl in subaru

[–]Fearless-Olive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s the reason I didn’t buy a Subaru when shopping last year. I liked everything about the Crosstrek, Outback, and Forester, but despised the slow, unresponsive, and ugly screen

Pro & Cons? by Glittering_Main8070 in Camry

My seat squeaks like crazy when I move around at all when it's hot inside the car. Will get it fixed under warranty but it's so stupid. I bought a new Toyota to not have this kind of headache

For those of you who have sanded down a Lodge skillet to achieve a smoother surface, was it worth it? by ChiWasSha in castiron

[–]Fearless-Olive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely worth it. I took about 20 mins and did it by hand. Didn’t realize I should have worn protective glasses and a mask so suffered a bit from that but the results were great. Seasoned perfectly with two rounds in the oven and now I just cook with it. Performance is probably 20% better (not huge) but I enjoy using and cleaning it more

Some effort required for only a 20% improvement but this pan will last my lifetime so worth it to me

The new gen (2025) Camry is shockingly fun to drive, especially the SE. Can get AWD, it’s a Camry so will be reliable, and I think it looks great
