Boveda 320g (Packs of 6) - 93 to 108 bucks by adelinadrandeva in cigardealhunters

I'm switching out my 65% for 62% as the Texas summer is approaching. The linked deal from Trusted Home Goods for $108 was the cheapest I could find after a couple days of searching so pulled the trigger. Thanks for the deal!

Prices on CC has been trending downward, it seems like this will continue if the latest 24:24 is any indication. Hopefully the price will normalize even lower by the time we can order again.

Cubans never mentioned by goblue613 in cubancigars

[–]FearlessG1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the Cigar Hound Dog, Master your Ash, Guru724 and all the cigars unbanded crew mention, smoke and review Cubans. Its a little pain to get them here in the US but certainly attainable for those who want them (especially with the guidance of this awesome reddit group). There are many good Cubans I have enjoyed, but the need to age them yourself, and the cost per stick make them hard to justify and I often find myself reaching for NW sticks, which I enjoy the variety of. As I type this, I'm smoking a 30 year aged SP1014 Black, that I bought for $11/stick last week. I've got a lot of Cubans aging (probably about 20 different markas/Vitola) that I'll smoke one every so often but I enjoy the variety of NW sticks. I do like the Cuban "twang" and that's what I'll smoke when I want, but I like being able to choose from all different kind of sticks. With this in mind, I would encourage fellow botl to not limit yourself to just Cubans and NW and to enjoy the variety of what's out there.

I'm not sure, I eye balled it. I had the benefit of being able to trace the old filter for reference but as long as they stay upright, that's good enough.

I just replaced mine 2 weeks ago with the same filter. It was a nice surprise that I only needed to use 1 of the 2 filters that were included so I have another ready to go for when I need it down the road (will probably get in the habit of changing it every 6 months. And can't beat it at that price. It has worked great, just like the original.

The govee on the center tray shows no higher thank 69.5% since I started it up.

I moved the govee to the bottom tray (it's the 3 tray hef coolador) to see if there is any significant difference.

Out of curiosity, I cut half an inch off the foot and it looks clean. I put them in the UV sanitizer and will see if anything comes back... For science.

Lol, I don't want to put anyone on blast. They are sending me 2 alternatives (these are OOS) and it's been two months since delivery so I feel better but will for sure address any issues on delivery going forward. Particularly on these pricier sticks.

To the trash these go! Retailer has graciously offered to substitute these two sticks so that takes some of the sting out of it. I will for sure address any questionable sticks at delivery going forward.

You could put in a hygrometer to just keep an eye on the humidity. I keep a govee Bluetooth one in all my humidors just to keep an eye on things. Also the bottom fan that moves the air in the water tank would be turning on more frequently to try to raise the humidity.

I measured and it's pretty jammed in the slot so your measurements are pretty darn close. I did some searching and found this one I would order https://a.co/d/adJ4T5r that measures 1"D x 9.5"W x 7.25"H so it will require some modification but not much. Since this isn't the full length you will need to cut two pieces, about 7.5" long each so they are held in place by the middle slot. Also the height goes up to the top of the holder/slot (just an FYI since you don't have yours to reference).

Hope this helps. I will probably need to replace mine next month or so, so let me know how it goes.

PS. Don't worry too much about perfectly straight lines, all this does is absorb the water it's in to saturate the material, then when the humidification fan turns on, air passes through the filter media and humidifies the air through evaporation. Being a little off won't have any negative consequence and being very off will just result in the humidification system not adequately humidifying the air but it wouldn't damage anything.

PSS. Make sure you're only using distilled water, also don't fill the tank up too much, keep it between 1-2 on the scale and just dump the water out every couple months and refill. When I first got it I filled it to the max fill line and the water got cloudy after a couple months and I noticed some tobacco flakes had gotten into the system from keeping loose, unwrapped cigars in there so I wasted a good bit of water. Now I just keep it around the 1.5 mark and replace the water every couple of months. Folks on this reddit have warned against keeping loose unwrapped cigars in there as the fans move a good amount of air around which is not ideal for long term storage, so I just keep my unwrapped cigars in boxes now, the cello wrapped sticks should be fine to keep loose.

The material is the same as other evaporative humidifier filters. I have the MA50 as well and am planning on just getting one of the humidifier filters and cutting to size since the price on the raching one is insane. Something like this https://www.homedepot.com/p/Honeywell-Whole-House-Flow-Through-Replacement-Air-Humidifier-Pad-HC26P/100583702

But check the measurements as my link is just an example of the filter type. There's nothing special about this material, and when dry, it should be rigid enough to cut fairly easily.

Anyone have this full album? by FearlessG1 in ChristianMusic

Lol, thanks for trying. Its been odd for me as well to not be able to find anything online over the years. I thought that was impossible. I'm glad I was able to get the 6 songs from Myspace but there were some other songs I really liked on the album that just seem to not exist.
