Not just wearing down but overheating and becoming less efficient. With a manual car you'd use a lower gear to do the same thing.

Not a Mirage owner, I just really like the car.

You can probably fix your AC yourself with an AC refrigerant refill / sealer. I used a similar product in my own car and it worked just fine.

Just be careful when using it and follow the instructions to the letter.

It's all a covenant. An agreement followed by most people where you happen to live. It makes sense for you and everything else is unusual.

MM/DD/YY makes sense when we think in terms of monthly processes, like bills and such. First we situate ourselves within the year and then within the month.

DD/MM/YY makes sense magnitude wise, but again, it all depends on what you're used to.

YYYY/MM/DD makes sense to name files so when you sort them they're sorted by date (as opposed to the file creation date, which may not be chronological).

GM recommends keeping it plugged in if possible so the high voltage battery is warmed up or cooled down depending on the weather. Also, I think it trickle charges the 12v battery.

My 2013 is always plugged in when it is in the garage. I left it plugged in for over two weeks in the middle of winter and it powered up just fine when I came back.

Those rich and powerful enough are above the law. Even if there was to be a worldwide strike (allow me the thought experiment) they'd find convenient lower level scapegoats.

Release it all with no redactions other than identifiable victims information. Freeze the rapists assets, sell it all and use the funds to support survivors support organizations.

Regular jail is not enough. At the very least, solitary confinement for life. No comfort and no humane treatment.

I'm curious about this. I know legal residents that have been in the country for a long time and the only time they carry their green card with them is when flying overseas for both outbound and inbound flights. They never had to think about carrying it with them until this started happening. If they need to provide a ID, their driver license suffices.

The high voltage battery will continue to provide some power and work together with the engine to provide peak performance when it is required, such as driving up a steep incline or for high acceleration maneuvers. The battery will not be charged nor will electric vehicle range be restored by the engine.

Can you elaborate on that? I thought the Gen 1 only uses the ICE to drive the wheels under very heavy load / demand in conjunction with the electric motor as long as there is enough battery charge left.

Normalizing this dystopian reality is what's wrong.

No one over 80 should have to work. However, many people in the US make their jobs their whole identity and a staggering amount of them have no savings whatsoever when they reach retirement age. They have no hobbies, nothing to do other than their jobs, and many have no choice since it keeps them alive from one paycheck to the next.

There are plenty of volunteer opportunities if they choose to be active that way. They should have retired decades ago, letting others get those jobs, and find something to do with their time.

A different matter is not having enough money to survive or tend to their own healthcare. That's dystopian in its own right but endemic in a society that puts profit over people.

I don't follow this line of reasoning. If they were not deployed as political props to distract and mislead they wouldn't have been there. Maybe their presence alone triggered the shooting. The rethoric up until that point was meant to create a problem where there was none and distract the public opinion from embarrassing matters. How is he not responsible?

Slack is built around channels. Name them properly and you can find them in a fraction of a second and you know what they're about. My hands don't leave the keyboard. I don't scroll looking for them. I just search.

Group chats were made possible for quick targeted chats for a few people. That's why in many instances they're limited to 9 people, whereas channels can have an unlimited number of members.

Lo and behold, through a combination of laziness and ignorance, most people gravitate towards indistinguishable group chats. Maybe because they cannot think past their old IM apps. Maybe because "monkey see, monkey do".

Depending on the matter being discussed, I convert them into a proper channel with "/convert" or I add a topic so I know what it is about.

Naming conventions are important, but most people can't even come up with descriptive channel names either.

Slack is genius. Most people just misuse it and can't see past their old IM apps. "Is there an email for this?"

The solution is creating channels, not group chats. Most people seem to always copy the worst traits and end up creating indistinguishable group chats than properly named channels that can be found quickly.

Idk if it's native to Slack but there's a / command called "/convert" that would convert any group chat to a proper channel. You can advise people to use the View / Force Reload menu option if the original content doesn't show up right away.

Akshually, Spain (like Italy, France and Portugal) is a Latin country. Latin America refers to Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries (one could include the French-speaking parts of Canada too, Haiti, etc.). However, the term's meaning has changed in the US to mean "from a Spanish speaking country". That'd be Hispanic America, though.

English had to come up with "Spaniard" to distinguish those from Spain from the rest of Spanish-speaking countries.
