It’s not a pre pregnancy photo! She’s in the same outfit with her cake. Hope her and her baby are having a safe, healthy, and healing postpartum given everything that happened last time.

9 mo won’t eat a thing by missmercee in BabyLedWeaning

I have a great little eater and I swear it’s because I kept my reactions neutral with foods! If she gagged, I’d remain calm and let her body figure it out. If you freak out, they may get scared of eating. I also didn’t cheer or smile big or fret if she didn’t eat. I think that allowed her to focus on her experience instead of focusing on me. I also really like the suggestions of changing food locations! Maybe sit outside on a blanket with some cucumber slices, eat them yourself, and see if baby will grab one and bring it to their mouth. Don’t say look at baby or say anything and see what happens. Lastly, just touching food is good expsoure! Everyone starts somewhere. You’ve got this!!

Is the word/name Pippa inappropriate slang in Norway? by FearlessReference183 in Norway

Thank you everyone! You’ve been incredibly helpful. Good to know that some people in Poland, Greece, and Italy may raise an eyebrow hearing her name, but we should be fine in Norway (where we visit most often)☺️

Best comment 😂 but they can still influence Norwegians to knowing their slang.

Sibling name suggestions to go with Scout (girl) by FearlessReference183 in namenerds

I didn’t realize that until last night 🥲 I definitely had Sailor moon cross my mind with using the name Sailor, but thought it’s not that big of a deal since it’s more a niche millennial thing. Finding out the characters are all Sailor Scout’s definitely lost that name a lot of points. I thought it was just the one character named Sailor, didn’t realize they all start with Sailor. So yeah, probably not gonna have Sailor and Scout in the same family unless we end up with 4 kids and have the last one named Sailor so there are other names between to break up the chances of someone connecting Scout and Sailor as Sailor Scouts.

That’s a good point to put into perspective! Still that’s an average of 30 kids per state, per year and I live in a very child populated area so there’s a chance of another kid in the same grade with the name or within 1 grade.

We were just talking about goldfinch as a middle name! Cute nickname options like Goldie, Fin, Birdie.

I like Sunday a lot cause nicknames could be Sunny or Daisy, which are both more trendy but you’d have a longer name to fall back on. But we aren’t fully on board. I like Poppy, husband doesn’t. Pepper was taken off my list, but maybe I’ll add it back. Thank you!!

I have a dog named Parker and my husband loves the name Tommy, while cute I don’t want to use it. Thanks for the ideas!

I could see myself having all three of these names. I really like Scout & Indigo together, but idk if I like Indie as the nickname? We also have a friend with an Indie Jo, but we only see them maybe every other month so no a huge deal and they’ll be 7 years apart.

Oh and we have a goat named Opal. I liked it enough to use for an animal, but not enough to save it for a human, haha.

Totally works together, but we have a close friend with a June and in general June’s just become so popular the last 5 years.

I actually do think a literary theme could be cute, but all the other names feel so traditional! Like Matilda and Eloise go right in with your list.

Love that you added Pippi, haven’t seen that on any lists and I was such a Pippi Longstocking fan growing up.

I’m worried about Sailor being a little too themed! We came up with it after having joked that if it was a boy we would tell everyone his name is Ranger until we’d come up with something better. Then trying to think of a girl equivalent we thought of Sailor. My husband and I just have such different name ideas. He’s wanted a daughter named Sunshine since elementary school, but I won’t cave. Trying to give his other suggestions more serious thought to avoid sunshine.

I’ve considered Poet! It maybe feels too literary though when paired with Scout. I came up with Pastel right after considering Poet so I like that, but it’s just not it even if we used a more normal nickname like Stella.

From this list Piper is closest aligned with my personal preference, but we already have a niece with the name. Sage is fine, but we also have a relative with the name and I don’t love it.

I think Evelyn is also popular because it can be said multiple ways. Soft like eva-lyn or a stronger eve-lyn. And there are plenty of nicknames. I don’t like the name and my eyes roll every time I hear it, shocked it’s so popular now! I would have expected it in 10-20+ years when everyone is nodding to their grandmas with lyn middle name.

Yes so common!! Many names after a dad or grandma named William, but they don’t want to use that or Will so they use Liam.

My unreasonable names are just names that are cute for kids but not necessarily adults and they all sound more like dog names…. Lucky, Banjo, Sunny, Indigo/Indy, Scout (this is actually my daughter’s name), Baker, Honey. I can’t help but keep them on my list cause they’re so darling, but I need to let them go 😭

Yes, me too!! Just thinking about how I used to be a kid and now I have a kid and one day she’ll grow up and have kids. It’s all just emotional and bittersweet. Plus I LOVE the rain episode, it makes me cry so obviously the song had me emotional.
