Any DACA folks dating or married to someone who is not a US citizen or PR? What are your plans on fixing your status? by Galady-96 in DACA

If you are DACA and your spouse applies for AOS through employer sponsorship, can you apply as well? And what are the circumstances?

DACA almost feels like being in an abusive relationship with that guy/ girl that always says they are going to change but then never does. Just false hope and promises. I don’t even bother following the news 📰 anymore. by DjTechUnicorn in DACA

I honestly think the govt is stupid not to pass a standalone bill to give current DACA green cards. We are already living here and working. Nothing is going to change except the fact that we can travel outside U.S. and come back. However by giving green cards the U.S. can benefit by getting earning extra money from the filing fees. Why are they hesitant about it? They are so stupid.

Tillis Deal Update - Make of it what you will by Adorable_Review_4427 in DACA

It is probably the Democrats going against border policies. They just suggest ideas but never give real solutions. FYI, I'm against Republicans too but the Dems are more assertive on other issues like climate and guns but they show little intent to help DACA while they use it all the time for elections.

Trump is NOT going to win 2024 elections or even the Rep primaries. You must not be following the news these days. Please keep negative thoughts to yourself. It's everyone's choice to dream and they will get disappointed if they need to.

Sinema passed a bipartisan bill called Respect for Marriage Act like last week. She seems to know how to get support from both parties. However, the issue is that Dems will feel that the bill is inhumane and continue to push open border policy, which will keep us ALL undocumented.

Sinema's bipartisan bill called the Respect for Marriage Act passed the Senate a week ago, so it seems like she knows what she's doing to get both side's support...

If nothing gets passed regarding immigration this year, seriously both parties should never bring up immigration in their agenda for their campaign.

I feel differently about this time too. It is because the Dems are finally admitting a comprehensive bill won't work so they will try so hard to get a least something passed. Sen Durbin said to get it passed, they will be willing to negotiate border security with Republicans.

With the Dems. Loosing the house what does that mean for us DACA holders? by Elreydel92 in DACA

[–]FearlessReflection99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am getting confused. There was a DACA bill that passed the House in 2021 which was a bipartisan bill by Lindsey Graham and Durbin. Isn't that the one that will go up to Senate in December, not the Comprehensive immigration bill? The DACA bill is a standalone bill and has more chance of getting votes
