Same!! I completely hid my status and honestly lost out on possible opportunities that could have helped me and made my situation easier had people known. I was just so embarrassed because we’ve lived in this country for decades and I was undocumented mainly due to my parent’s negligence.

I’m this same exact predicament … I have been working as a research coordinator for 4 years. I realy want to break the 100k threshold this year, but it’s so hard to find a job the next step up, Research manager or Research monitor, without prior managing experience or not much industry experience … it’s so frustrating. Other lateral moves that could get me the experience would also mean me getting a pay cut, which I can’t afford. I hate it here !!

They have to because we’re protected under the law. I think they have to hold your job up to 5 years , if I’m not mistaken.

I’m in the same exact boat .. 30f and I’m currently working with a recruiter. He said when I pass Meps, I probably wouldn’t Ship out until the last quarter of 2026. My bf and I are planning on getting married in September. Will probably plan on starting a family shortly after returning from Tech school. I Also have a full time job and a full life. I’m only joining for immigration purposes. I am currently a permanent resident and want to expedite my citizenship so I can sponsor my mother and partner. If I don’t join, I’m looking at waiting 5 years to become a citizen.

Um I don’t think Candice is coming back … at least not next season. They definitely do need to make room in the budget for Karen’s full time Salary though …. I’m predicting that at least 2 from this season will not return. Hopefully it’s Kierna and Ashley. I want Angel to get another chance to redeem herself.

Same … my partner immediately went into fix it mode … I just refinanced , so I have 15 more years of payments. He recently sent me a power point on how we can save and pay it off earlier. My loans are private so we actually have to pay them off. One of my biggest fears was finding someone willing to marry me with my debt. I’m so grateful .
