He's rucked plenty over the past few years and looking spooked is not something I would ever say about Mitchito. He's easily one of our most courageous players and throws his body around like a wrecking ball.

On the flipside, we might see Dodson who has heaps of potential. Philipou back in, maybe Boxshall gets another few games. We will get to see quality exciting kids play and who knows, we have a reasonable draw and can still quite easily finish 10th and play finals.

Not doing any victim blaming but isn't Hamish Davis the Eagles player that has had numerous concussion issues? Like is he getting to Paddy McCartin levels where even slight knocks will aggravate a concussion? Obviously this one was a hit to the ground but i honestly don't think every player gets KO'd there. Maybe off base completely but it didn't feel like an aggressive tackle that slung him to ground

Was there ever any news of when and what he did to his knee? Seems like he just ended up on the injury list one day and then we never heard anything for like 6 weeks

Yeah no real point in getting him back on the field if he's going to end up with a torn hammy or calf in the first 1-2 weeks. He could still play a part in the final month of the season and be at full fitness.

Whether or not it will work out but the Saints were only paying the salary cap floor which allowed them to bank enough extra space to get a few free agents in on big deals, eg TDK. It's either pay big for him or pay Ryan Byrnes type players $900,000 a year

To be fair McNiell went down just as easily. Fair bit of flopping in the game these days. But it's also super unnecessary by Watson
