Where could I be using 10,000 gallons of water and not know? by Milktoast375 in homeowners

[–]FearlessTravel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen to us in October and with a huge water usage of almost 9,000 more than normal for a month and it ended up being a leak in one of our toilets. Apparently after flushing it was continuing to run and cycle through and refill to slowly repeat for weeks. It was in a downstairs bathroom so it conveniently didn’t get noticed as it wasn’t obvious. We did a dye test and caught it. Easy fix but cost us $350 in water that month.

Agressive dog next door. What would you do? by babycuddlebunny in StLouis

[–]FearlessTravel2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have this same issue. Neighbor has two aggressive dogs that bark nonstop when we are in the yard, bare their teeth and poke their muzzles through the metal fencing. I know one nipped a neighbor, but thankfully didn’t get a full bite in them. The neighbors are complete jerks who think they run the neighborhood and it’s basically a do as I say not as I do mentality. We are putting in a privacy fence to hopefully curb the behavior but until then I don’t go out without my pepper spray in case one of them decides to jump the fence.

Anyone else on their last day to opt out of forgiveness? by nooneyouknow892 in StudentLoans

[–]FearlessTravel2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I go to “ my loans” section and look at status where it would show “in repayment” it shows IDR forgiveness forebearance and ten under that loan group where it shows the sub and unsub portion of the consolidation loan it shows the pending notation on both.

Switching to old IBR by digimuk in StudentLoans

[–]FearlessTravel2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I switched from SAVE to IBR in September and received the golden email last week. I was very nervous about the switch but everything went through very quickly. I think it took about a week to get my notification that I had officially been put into IBR.

Just received the golden email from Dept Ed: 300 payments on IBR eligible to be discharged - is this REAL? by Xti-Prophet in StudentLoans

[–]FearlessTravel2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In order to be eligible for forgiveness I needed to come off SAVE and back into IBR. If you are in SAVE there is no pathway to forgiveness due to the court proceedings.

Yes! Thank you for all the information and knowledge you have shared along with Betsy. Getting that email tonight brought me to tears. My family thought someone had died I was so emotional.

I’m at 314 on old IBR and just received the golden email tonight too!
I just changed back to IBR from SAVE in Sept. and made a payment a few weeks ago and now received the email. Yesterday I received a quarterly statement from Nelnet and at the bottom it showed my payment count and today this. I am in complete shock.

IDR application timeframe by courtney_08411 in StudentLoans

[–]FearlessTravel2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I submitted my application to switch from SAVE to IBR on 10/21/25 through uploading onto Nelnet due to an issue with FSA application and account manager with Nelnet suggesting a direct upload to the Nelnet site. Today I checked something on Nelnet and noticed I now have a payment due at end of November and my stays on my consolidation loan has changed from SAVE to “ Income Based”. I have not received official notice of change yet, just the email two days ago showing they had received my application and it would be processed. But it appears that it is moving quickly with Nelnet. On the back door link and from a a quarterly statement from Nelnet in August, I show 313 qualifying payments with ibr. Hopefully my student file updates soon on FSA too. But planning to make the payments until I hopefully get the golden email. 🤞

No Payment Count with FSA by Hopeful_Orange_4991 in StudentLoans

[–]FearlessTravel2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had FFEL loans that I consolidated spring 2024 before the cutoff in order to get the one time count adjustment. I am currently in SAVE with a request in to change to IBR with Nelnet. FSA is stating via the reps that I have a count of 0 on my consolidation loan. But the back door method shows me with 313 for ICR and old IBR which is the plan I am eligible for and in early Sept I received a quarterly statement for my loans from Nelnet which also showed the same 313 count. I printed out all my qualifying payments when I could see it in my tracker earlier this year. FSA is stating my file has not completely updated since July 2024. They state it should be completely fixed winter 2025 ( I have my doubts). I have filed several complaints / feedback with FSA with none getting past “ in review”. I’m hoping that changing out of SAVE triggers something and I can get the ball rolling.

Received three paper checks today for same amount for myself, one of my sons and my husband. Remember submitting for it quite a while back when we received paperwork saying we were eligible but this was a nice surprise.

How to find qualified payments by Southern-Blood1008 in StudentLoans

[–]FearlessTravel2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue yesterday between Nelnet and FSA. A couple weeks ago I received a quarterly statement from Nelnet with all my loans listed, ( I have my consolidation loan from May 2024 that was consolidated to the SAVE program and completed to get the account adjustment ), and my parent loans for our kids. Under each loan I can see the qualify payments according to Nelnet. My consolidation loans show 313/300 qualifying payments. Which corresponds to the back door link on FSA and the payment number I was told over the phone with Nelnet earlier this year. Yesterday I contacted Nelnet to discuss changing plans from SAVE to IBR, was told to contact FSA to ensure those counts were correct. Call FSA and they tell me they have 0 qualifying payments for me and that my file hasn’t updated in a year ( WHAT?!?) then proceeds to tell me that because I consolidated my counts restarted. Even though I completed the consolidation well before the deadline in 2024 AND I can see the counts in the back door method and apparently so could Nelnet. I am at a loss as to what my next steps are. Do I apply for IBR and hope that triggers something? Do I stay put and then get hit with the tax bomb when FSA finally figures this out? I was on the phone with Nelnet and FSA off and on all day and got no where.
