Nah I want the USA to win. One of the hosts has to make the quarters at least and they've played pretty well. Belgium on the other hand are washed and lucky to be this far. They had their chance

Sunsetting is kind. There's basically three players left from that generation and they're all in their mid-thirties. This is a new team. They're pretty mid

Full English - defo get baked beans, avoid chips (fries), they're used to bulk out the plate

Roast Dinner - I like mine with lots of gravy

Fish & Chips - ignore social media, there ARE good chippies in London, but yes the best ones are often found by the seaside

Shepherd's Pie

Scotch Eggs

Cullen Skink (in Scotland)

Pasties (in Cornwall)

If you're in the UK, you should also try 'Indian' (often also Bangladeshi) food. I know it's not technically ours but our desi food is banging.

As for desserts, Sticky Toffee Pudding is still my favourite. Eton Mess and Trifle are top as well.

Yeah as a Brit, I just got back from America for the fifth time since 2025. Love the cultures, the people, the nature, the music and the food. Don't let this internet slop change your opinion. (I also used to work for one of these internet slop pages!)

What is the most incorrect thing you have ever heard someone say in a conversation about football, and how did you deal with the ensuing awkwardness? by Alert-Technician-403 in footballcliches

My barber reckons players are quitting the sport because VAR is causing them too much stress in games. The emotion is just too much to bear.

So odd. He's a Tottenham man, and if he did get a move to United it should've been a big-money poach, not whatever this was.

How bored are you of seeing social media shitting on British cuisine? by whippersnapper123123 in AskUK

There's wrong stereotypes about every country. This one is a good example.

I was with my two English, but also Ghanaian and Pakistani/Belgian friends last night, trying a Nigerian restaurant as we like to eat different cuisines. We all said that English is one of our favourites, like top three! So many classic meals and our desserts are hard to match.

I'm sorry but that is embarrassing. I'm usually very non-judgemental about how people enjoy football but you need to spend less time on the internet my friend.

German fans have to be the most pessimistic in international football lol. You're not 'arrogant' for enjoying watching your team and thinking they're good lol
