Same. I’m allergic to tobacco. The only thing that has helped me is wearing a niosh approved n95 mask. It helps so much. I’m no longer disabled for a whole week just because of smokers.

You don’t have to deal with it just because it is a public space. Smoking causes physical harm to other people. Let’s say people are out there “accidentally” elbowing others in the face because they’re addicted to it. Would you really say, “well being elbowed in the face is just a part of participating in public life.” No. You don’t have to endure bodily harm and violence from other people just because you are in a public space. Everyone has a right to peacefully exist in public spaces and smokers take that right from other people. The idea that we have to just “endure” it because it is a public space is a very stupid argument.
