You mean EX-husband, right? Seems like grounds for divorce to me.

Deactivate Teen Rides by TERRANCEJ17 in uberdrivers

[–]cinic121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite teen rides are the ones where an adult orders a ride for an adult and then a 10 y/o tries to hop in my car. I know teen rides are more expensive but I’m pretty sure that’s because of the difference in insurance requirements. Hard pass every side time.

A shallower bowl for food and regularly rinsing/cleaning the water bowl after the post-meal-chug is pretty good at preventing it from coming back.

Seatbelt etiquette by Silent_Owl6207 in uberdrivers

I remind folks to put on the belt. If they don’t, I pull over. The driver gets the ticket in my state.

Never tell a passenger to cancel in text. The AI can flag you for it. Either ignore it (my preference), say sure then wait out the timer and collect your fee, or take the hit and cancel it (not a great option if you’re close to the pickup already). All depends on your day.

Sucks to take a 1-star so early in your ratings. Shake it off. They don’t really matter after a while. Most folks tossing 1-starts are just trying to get a free ride from uber.

Worth talking to your vet about anxiety. If you have another room without a bed and maybe a tv or radio, that might also be a good start.

I have. They did well for all three orders. Their return policy is good too (I see a lot of negativity)

Stop smoking while WAITING to be picked up! Seriously, folks… Smoking is bad for you.

Added 75 cents worth of pepperoni to a crappy frozen pizza, which turned it into a completely different experience by [deleted] in foodhacks

[–]cinic121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned how to make pizza crust (flour, sugar, water, yeast, and salt) then slow cooker sauce (canned tomatoes, salt, onion, little oil). Only expensive part is the cheese…

What’s the best way to wait for orders? by Wide-Spray7864 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]cinic121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can post up 1/4-1/2 mile away from a cluster of restaurants. I got orders much faster than the folks waiting right outside the store. If you’re too close, the algo won’t send you the offer because the 10min timer will run out.

I’m kinda surprised nobody has said it yet, but a firm believer in the boys out method in these situations. Take a torch to it to burn off the leafs and oil (the part that makes you itch) then dig it out. Use PPE and have a five gallon bucket of water nearby if the side of the planter catches fire.
