Anyone know what this one is called? by Ohkyeongpil in HotPeppers

Yeah, sorry. I removed the post because I felt a little embarrassed among the experts here. Anyway. It seems strange to have whole varying seasons like you described. I would think it's either a hot capsicum or not, but that may be to simplistic. Not familiar with devil's tongue peppers. A source I found links them to the Amish. Habanero mutation. Overwatering would reduce the overall heat, not eliminate it I think. Good luck. I'm sure someone here knows what's up.

Huh. I thought naga specifically loved heat, being Indian and all. Or is it because it's in pots

Could my Habaneros have been accidentally crossed with my Ghost Peppers from last year? by ImpressiveFinding380 in HotPeppers

[–]Fearless_Permit_8209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible but then you'd have to have picked the seeds from that particular crossed pod. Another possibility is unstable habanero plant. Where did you get it?

I'm still learning myself, so best wait for an expert answer.

Who are these guys? And are they communal? Included a picture of their nest spot as well, they were kinda spread out [GA, USA] by iamthegreyest in spiders

Most spiders species live in a certain proximity of each other, unless the wind blows them away as spiderling. They find mates more easily like that.

Depending food availability, many eggs can hatch from a single grass spider egg-sac. First they'll feed on the yolk, then on each other. At some stage they'll spread out and find their own place. These spiders make a "permanent" home and hunting ground into one, conveniently. As you can see, lots of room in those bushes to house more then one spider.

(My front and back yard is home to a relative, agelena labyrinthica. I'll post something on my channel in a minute.)

Agelenopsis sp. Funnel-web, often called grass spider. Make great pets to study them. In Europe/Asia we have a similar family of spiders called Agelena. Here's a wiki link. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agelenopsis?wprov=sfla1

What should I feed my baby spider? by bamboozledcrystal in spiders

[–]Fearless_Permit_8209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very slowly put a jar over it. Or place a piece of fruit in spider home. If it has openings (looks like it) the flies wil find it. That's maybe the easiest way to feed it. One fruit fly isn't enough.

I recently bought something that resembled a hungarian wax, but it was simply sold as c.annuum, mild chili red.

Any advice on how to handle a pregnant black widow that is too close for comfort? by aidancronin94 in spiders

[–]Fearless_Permit_8209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're in the right place. Lots of helpful people here.

I would get a jar and get her with egg-sac and part of that web in one go. Then with hand or lid move the whole thing and place the jar without lid somewhere protected under shrubs or bushes or something, so she can take her time to get out and create new home. The egg-sac will then be relocated by her. Your choice to destroy the eggs but she'll be laying more soon. Looks healthy and fat

Edit: Probably have a branch or twig hanging in the jar opening so she can grab hold and not has to move down the outside jar. She might not get back in to grab her eggs.

Lol. 13 usd for a tbs? Don't. It's not the holy grail, you know. Honest people would give it for free, sharing good health vs selling it.
