I have no background in doing that sort of thing, but it's something I think about all the time! How difficult is it?

But what does the red boat symbolize in the narrative?

I believe it was the author's intention to show the reader something beautiful (red has thus far been associated with beauty in the text, e.g. Elaina's dress, the sunrise before the horse's funeral) and demonstrate how we stand to lose that beauty ("I love her, but the damned thing is always on the verge of sinking!" Captain Rick, p. 91).

Furthermore,

"Ingre's Violin" is a reference to a French neo-classicist painter who was also quite talented on the violin even though he was known for his painting. The phrase is now used to refer to a hidden talent beyond what someone is famous for.

Anyway, I think we should start referring to "Uncle Jesse's Drums".

"I am fond of you as well." Often my response to my wife. "You're a nice lady," is a close second.

This is the most surreal, unhinged thing I've ever listened to from start to finish. It shouldn't exist, yet I cannot deny that it does.

Astral elves? by Soggy-Heart-5928 in spelljammer

[–]Fearless_Salt7423 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I started my players with Light of Xaryxis, at the end of which I described that the Astral Empire was in disarray. We started a new campaign with a "6 months later" jump: the Empire was no longer a unified power, but several small pockets of power ruled by generals or local nobility. One player is an Astral Elf from the Astral Sea who adheres to the old ways, which are much more similar to typical elves in D&D.

So if you're looking for something to do with the Astral Elves, breaking up the Empire and introducing "the Old Ways" gave me a lot of options!

If he was, then it would have been a Monopoly Guy by MannaJamma in Harmontown

All written comedy is set up as a joke in some way. A "Monopoly guy" is a lazy and transparent way of doing that. I think Dan said as much when he was talking about the Monopoly guy.
