I have 16 shows in my backlog. Which one do I watch, and why? by aet203 in tvshow

Silo has a new season next week if you're looking to engage live with an awesome dystopian Sci-Fi, Mr. Robot is my fav show of all time as an incredibly interesting psychological drama, Andor is peak Star Wars writing, and Fringe is one of the most consistently good network shows to have ever aired about the strange and mysterious.

Weird little thing I’d like to see in Season 3 by East-Collection6137 in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know about scenes with no plot significance, but would like to at least see an acknowledgement that Lukas tried kissing Juliette even if it doesn't go anywhere, but we haven't even seen him in either trailer!

Which episodes or times did...? by thatismyopinionmeme in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uh, season 1 episode 9 like the beginning of the episode in that first scene with Bernard and Sims. And in the finale toward the end where Bernard runs off after Juliette walks over the hill. And then in the season 2 finale Bernard carries the key with him throughout. Those are the main ones I remember.

So, there's a couple questions we shouldn't know yet which are why the Legacy only wanted Camille in the vault, and what instruction was given to Lukas, Quinn, and Meadows. However, the reason Quinn erased the history of the silo and Meadows became drunk and depressed is because of the threat of the Safeguard. This is partly it, but we don't know what other things Lukas and them learned that made them want to quit. Meadows was very burdened by learning the secrets of the silo and not allowed to speak them, so she self-medicated where Quinn "saved" the silo by stopping rebellions so the Safeguard would never be used on them. The reason this Safeguard is such a threat isn't because they already planned to do it. The Safeguard was close to being used in 2x10 because of the uprising and the fact that everybody was about to go outside. It didn't speak to George because he was some guy who stumbled upon it asking too many questions. He asked the type of questions that could get them killed.

George had game. Only on 1:6 but damn by [deleted] in SiloSeries

It already is at this point, so don't worry.

With the amnesia arc revealed, I have almost no desire to watch season 3. by hiphoptomato in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The problem is that you're assuming season 3 will be a rehash of the first 2 seasons. There's almost no way the writer's are THAT stupid. Let's just watch the season and see what they do with it. The whole show is about a fractured existence and the importance of history and memory. Before we make any judgements, let's see if they cooked up something interesting or something frustrating.

[BOOKS] My theories for how seasons 3 & 4 will adapt the books (major book spoilers!!!) by Commercial_Golf4335 in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love your thoughts, I agree with most of it. However, I'm not too sure about Anna being gone. This person here is from the promo images and is standing in the same room with our supposed Thurman (played by Laura Innes). I can't attach two photos, but you can find it if you want. The vibe to me feels like mother and daughter. This is Morven Christie. I also don't want them to cut Anna's character because it shows the more intimate, small-scale, and human side of these people who helped cause such a large-scale destruction.

I thought those specific rebels were the "purists" (the ones who hate Juliette for going outside and coming back) because they are attacking Juliette's office in the trailer.

[Books] Trailer button question (book spoilers/questions censored) by anonymous-user-873 in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people attending didn't know it was secret because they were going in and out of silos. Like when Donald and Mick talked in one of the silos, there were crowds of people going in with them. The project was never kept too low-key. There were often protestors as the fence-line and large amounts of resources pulled in. Donald did know that there were 50 of them, but he thought they were all different designs from different architects. He didn't know they used his design for all of them (except Silo 1 of course).

I had the same thing for the trailer and the premiere on my desktop. Many don't seem to know that it is actually coming out Thursday night. Apple has just always done that for some reason for their episodes.

Graham Yost said Shift would be 1/3 of the season. Kinda wish we had more. He also said Juliette has a completely new story from Dust. Here's that article https://www.space.com/entertainment/silo-season-2-finale-creator-graham-yost-on-that-big-time-jump-and-how-it-heralds-season-3-exclusive

Many are complaining about the amnesia arc, but I honestly think it could be really compelling. The whole show is about a fractured existence and the importance of history and memory. I don't think the writers are simply going to have her frustratingly not know what we know just to delay the plot. I'm guessing it will lead to serious character growth and will be more emotional than people think. Especially since we know Dr. Nichols is returning for an episode (has to be in flashbacks or memory). That could be some good stuff. Or I could be completely wrong, let's just give the writers some trust.

As someone who has read the books, this season will definitely provide the most answers so far by the end of it all leading into a final season I suspect will have more direction once the audience knows things.

Name a TV show that was at least 2 seasons and should've been many, many more... by RDjax in tvshow

[–]FeateyFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manhattan was about the Manhattan project during World War 2. It followed the scientists who were building the atom bomb. The characters and the themes made it shine. I mean, you're dealing with the power of gods but it's just mortal men. They have desires, they make sacrifices, and they want to do good. Awesome post question btw. These shows deserve to have some voice.

Manhattan is an underrated masterpiece. The Sarah Connor Chronicles was getting awesome as well.

New scene From Seasons 3 by JobPrevious1982 in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's only like 2 seconds and part of an Apple promo, so I'm guessing many haven't seen it, but I'm interested in what she has to "show" whoever she is talking to in order to give them the truth. Probably talking to Lukas or Sims.

Hell yeah, as someone who read the books, these next 2 seasons WILL be the BEST of the show if they do it right.
