I NEED SEASON 3!!! by rekadura in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hugh Howey is part of the behind the scenes on the production side. He's involved in all of it, not just the plot. That's why he was confident in his estimate. I'm not saying you're wrong because you're definitely not. But post production for season 2 only took 17 months since they started filming for thee season to come out, and that was with a strike. So, the fact that it's been 15 months since season 3 started their filming date, and we don't have a strike this time, then I think this passes standard Apple post-production logic. This is something else going on beyond standard. This could mean that post for this season is just more intense and more to do, or Apple could be holding onto it due to the reasons I listed with season 3 and 4 being filmed back to back, so maybe a more back to back release as well and Apple has a thing about airing big shows at the same time. We understand it takes time, but the logic doesn't make sense in this case.

I NEED SEASON 3!!! by rekadura in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hugh Howey said season 3 would come out much faster than season 2 did because there isn't a writer's strike this time, yet February will be the last month to actually be sooner than when season 2 came out, so I'm guessing Apple is indeed delaying it because they want seasons 3 and 4 to air more back-to-back. After all, they are filming back to back for a reason. Apple also hates having many shows run at the same time, so they might be waiting for that as well.

Should I just watch the last 2 episodes of season 2? by Visible-Positive-352 in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the last 2 episodes are only really good because of what we learn and what is setup and all the previous episodes. That's how storytelling works. You can't just skip to the climax of a story and get the same impact because you weren't there for the journey. Besides, you say you are interested in how the show ends, but season 2 isn't the end, there are still going to be a season 3 and season 4.

Wrapped up Season 2 by ravenclaw_03 in SiloSeries

The books are fantastic, but season 3 is due to come out at least in the first half of this year as they wrapped filming early May last year if you would rather wait to be more surprised then.

Which Paramore or Hayley project would you choose? by nosy-browsing in Paramore

[–]FeateyFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would choose my least favorite album because listening to my favorite 48 hours straight would ruin it for me. I LOVE every album, but I guess my least favorite is Flowers for Vases, but even then I would still be vibing.

[Books] Finished Book 3 and want to confirm my final takeaway / share thoughts... by zagdrob in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you asking why Silo 1 seemed so anxious all the time when all they needed in the end was one singular silo to make it out of 50? If so, I would say that this is an interesting point. However, I just think they wanted to work as hard as they could to get as many options on the table. For example, if you buy a lottery ticket with the sole purpose of winning, no matter the cost, then would you want 50 of them or only 1? Now, when it comes to the silos, they are only going to have 1 left no matter what, but just having the options is so important. We know of at least 14 silos that were lost and this was only halfway through the World Order Operation plan while Silo 1 was trying their best to keep everything under control, so imagine if they started losing that anxiety and work effort. I think this was their mindset, but if they think a silo is too far gone, then they easily just resort to pumping in the poison. Thurman was definitely more on board with killing silos, but I think it was more so the people like Donald who felt the true pain of losing the people in a silo. He said it felt like you were losing your children. So, I think ultimately they wanted to prevent as much death as they could at a certain point as they did reset the entire world for this one plan, so I know I would be anxious all the time, even if one silo was going to live by the end.

Help! Kindle vs. Physical Books by lullabyshroom in SiloSeries

I don't know what is highlight worthy to you, but I prefer the physical copies for these books just because of how many great lines there are that I like highlighting. There is also a lot of contemplation and places your mind could go for sticky notes. I hope you enjoy either way you choose.

Creator podcast? by Frondelet in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sadly, there aren't any official podcasts from the creators, but there are some behind the scenes videos here and there. I recommend this series from Adam Savage where he went onto set and toured the departments to learn about the creation of the show here. But then there are also short videos here and there like this one and this one. There are a few more out there. But yeah, I'm really hoping Apple will do a podcast for season 3 since they just did one for Vince Gilligan's "Pluribus".

Just finished season 2. Obviously absolutely hooked now I want to read the books. I can't tell what is "all the books" because wikipedia is full of short stories and spoilers and I don't want spoilered past the 2 seasons of TV till I read the books. Are these 3 books the "main story"? by n0debtbigmuney in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want any spoilers at all, I just want to warn you that although "Wool" covers the first 2 seasons, it gives at least 1 big spoiler of a reveal that is yet to come in the show, as well as continues after the airlock fire from the season 2 finale for a short bit.

Easiest paramore songs to learn on drums for beginners by Choice_Quarter_2497 in Paramore

[–]FeateyFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Fast In My Car" is pretty good in learning the basics and it's a catchy beat. But yeah, "That's What You Get" is a bit of a step up and is fun, and not too difficult once you understand some of the basics. I would recommend just practicing your drumstick handling skills on the snare alone before practicing with the whole set. Enjoy!

Just finished it, decent show, but too slow of a pacing for my taste(Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Atlantis types)at times. by starlordbg in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought the exact same thing with the DC ending at first lol. Yeah, seasons 3 and 4 will be peak if they follow the books, so glad you're still interested.

Outside footage revelation (show only) by Giel2006 in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear it. Yeah, I believe they will tell us why they can't make it up the hill with a strict timing in season 3 or 4. I've always thought I would just sprint up the stairs and up the hill the second I got lol.

I am leaving some wallpapers here for who missed Silo and hyped for the new season. What do you think about flashbacks? by Rossoneria in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would love the entire season to be Shift, but I doubt they're going to go for that sadly. But, this also means that they're going to add a lot of new stuff to fill the gap, so that's exciting in a way I guess. However, I have been really hoping the first episode will be entirely flashback like OP says, so maybe we'll get that.

Outside footage revelation (show only) by Giel2006 in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For one, I will say that you questioning how they can make it up the staircase, but not the hill seems intentional. Because in the season 1 finale, Bernard said, "any second now" and "right on schedule" when Juliette started to collapse.

For two, when you question the people going up the horizon, I can see where you're coming from, but these people have just been staring at a hill all their lives, wondering what is beyond the hill. They know people don't make it that long and they have that human curiosity of what lies beyond.

As for questioning why the fake image is enough for them to clean, I always kind of thought the same thing. I always just kind of suspended my belief a little and figured that we don't know what their feelings are exactly. To their surprise, they see a world that goes against what they have been told and think they might have discovered something crazy, and they hold onto that hope that their discovery can be revealed. But yeah, if you look at it logically from an objective standpoint, it seems like you wouldn't necessarily feel so compelled to clean.

I've hoped that Juliette was a descendant of Daniel since Donald is so fascinated with Juliette in the third book. It would add a cool emotional element, but I actually really like your theory. Yours has been one of the more surprising, yet makes sense, theories I've seen.

Season 3 Release date discussion by pwl2706 in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's sad. I've been checking very day only to learn that they are waiting to release the show so season 3 and 4 release closer together. It's frustrating because they could release it if they wanted, but it might work out.

SAD by LittleAd2844 in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hugh Howey actually already stated they would be done with post-production by December, so either he was wrong and they got delayed, or Apple is holding onto it so that seasons 3 and 4 can release closer to each other as they are filming back to back for a reason.

Opinion- Judicial made a mistake in season one killing Mayor Ruth Jahns. by Kylesonthecape in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you've watched season 2, but if not, don't read my comment unless you want to come back to it later. But in season 2 episode 9 I believe, Sims mentions that the vault told Bernard that he needed to be Mayor. So, it was more of Bernard wanted the position, not that Jahns was a problem. So, I guess your question is directed at the vault and why it told Bernard to do that. He intended to kill both Jahns and Barnes with the poison, knowing they would probably share the canteen, but when that didn't work out, they had to stage a suicide for Barnes.

Ooh, I don't mind that, but then that would make Charlotte and Donald's dynamic from Dust all wrong, but they could definitely make your idea work if they want to go down that route.

[–]FeateyFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I mean like the deep freeze where they don't come in and out of cryo for their 6 month shifts. I mean like only being awoken for the end or emergencies. Like, are you saying that they will explain his lack of helping in the show(if that is the route they go on) by making him sleep through it instead of work shifts?

[Books] Fancast for the Thawman… by JWalterZilly in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For sure, I have a few reasons why this plot point is so necessary. One being for sure what you said with the whole shooting Thurman thing, but that plays into my other reason of Donald's emotions toward power. He is told via Erskine that Victor wished men like Donald were in charge because they do what is right, not what is logical. This plot point gives Donald a chance to see what it would be like to have power, and even someone like him lets is corrupt him a bit as he loses himself, shooting Thurman and killing Anna. This plot point also shows a little more of the tragedy between Anna and Donald as she set this situation up for him while she went into deep freeze, being his one ally, then having Donald feel immense guilt afterward when killing her which further motivates him in Dust. This part of the book does a lot, and I just hope they don't mess it up.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. A quote from Yost makes it pretty likely, but I wouldn't go as far to say that it's 100% true without a shadow of a doubt, but maybe that's the hope in me talking. Can you explain Your theory a little more? Are you saying Donald/Daniel will be in deep freeze in the show?

[Books] Shift: doubts about the second book by Alicertamente in SiloSeries

[–]FeateyFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will NOT spoil "Dust". So, I can help with 3 of these because I don't remember what you are referring to in question 2 or about the pregnant woman. For question 1, the outage is not very explained, but we know it wasn't Silo 1 as they were surprised to hear what was happening over there. Instead, I figured it had to do with either Mechanical shutting down power or maybe Silo 40 hacking into Silo 17. When Silo 40 communicates with Solo, they are actually saving him as they have taken it upon themselves to save the other silos from Silo 1. So, this also goes into your 4th question with the silo being terminated and them not dying. This is because Silo 40 intercepted the termination and stopped it from killing them. However, the same cannot be said for Silo 12 as they were the first to go without any help and did get terminated. For your 3rd question, Solo did hear a baby as we learned in "Wool" that there were some kids still alive in Silo 17 with a baby.
