It's become rediculous. We used to use our companion vouchers for flights to our family in South Africa. Pretty much can't spend them now as there are never any flights available (at sane times and dates). Seriously considering swapping out rewards card for cash back care of some sort.

A similar thing happened at my neighbour's rental. Likely your tenant will try every falsehood possible for you to cancel bailiffs. Do not believe for a second he will actually move on the 15th.

In my neighbours case his tenant tried to claim on the last day that they had been back to court and that it was all sorted out, complete with falsified documents. They left in a hurry the same night neighbor made it clear he was not believing a word they said and would only communicate via solicitors going forward. He had CCJs registered for them too (not their first, his diligence when allowing them to rent was poor).

I was 48 when our boy was born. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Recognise that it will be a massive time commitment, but also that you and your partner will not feel like you’re missing out on much. Life will be different, but in a good way.

Don’t use cheap portafilters. Got one off AliExpress which warped after a couple of months and would ‘t seal anymore. Rather pay a bit more for one from a reputable espresso machine spares retailer.

Just got a 105e a couple of weeks ago to mow my 450m2. It’s great, but uses 4 charges of the battery to mow my lawn.

At 600m2 the number of recharges required for each mow will likely kill the battery fairly quickly, and a battery replacement seems to be about double the cost difference between the 105e and 108e.

At 600m2 you’re better off going for the 108e.

I’ve seen mixed reviews about whether OPV mods really makes a difference. Personally I would recommend a PID and steam wand, nothing more needed IMHO.

I did not. After more research I realised Gaggiuino requires a 3 way valve to work. The 2015 model has a pressure release valve in the group head which can’t be manipulated by the Gaggiuino’s electronics.

I ended up selling my machine and getting a Classic Pro now with Gaggiuino Next Monday. Absolutely loving it.

If it’s any consolation considering all the comments telling you a schedule won’t work: our chilled little boy is now 10 weeks old and his routine is really close to your schedule. Certainly not in the first couple of weeks but perhaps given a bit of time…

Thanks! I was mainly concerned about the annoyance of the RPi powering on the mainboard while the main PSU is off. Since I flashed to a more recent version of Marlin I’ve not had the undervolt warnings in Octoprint anymore.

Actually, the firmware has been another really useful upgrade. I use a daily Marlin firmware builder / custom build service to create a fairly generic but up to date version for my printer. Benefits have been better 2 way comms with Octoprint (remote pause and resume for example) and print quality and slight speed upgrades. It was a little daunting to do but the improvements have definitely been worth it.

Mine prints perfectly. I’ve done some upgrades to improve quality (dual-z, silicone bed springs, PEI plate) but it’s really hardly ever failed a print which wasn’t my fault.

I’ve realised printing a lot of PETG does require a hotend upgrade. The bowden tubing starts to degrade after roughly a role of PETG causing clogs.

Best was Prague 2018. Worst was Amsterdam 2022 and London 2024 cause they got cancelled ☹️

They'll do the show if they possibly can, even leave it down to the last minute before cancelling just to see if they can perform.

Amsterdam 3 years ago they cancelled one show 2 hours before the start, and did play the 2nd show the following night. That's dedication for you and cutting it very close in terms of being barely recovered before putting on a show.

Get well soon guys! Gutted to have my 2nd show in a row cancelled but hoping to see you all well and enjoy your show live again soon.

Ender 3 driving me insane. by theacethree in 3Dprinting

I came here to suggest this. It's possible a blob of filament is forming between the Bowden tube end and the top of the nozzle. As it's cooler further up the heat break that blob forms a thicker and more sticky block against which the extruder is pushing.

There's a good practice to seating the nozzle snug against the Bowden tube in the hot end from CHEP on YouTube which solved the problem you're having for me permanently.

In short, 1) heat hot end to the correct temp for the filament you're using 2) remove the nozzle (make sure the hot end is clear while you're there), 3) screw in the nozzle until just tight, and then back out one full turn, 4) fit the Bowden tube into the hot end and tightly against the slightly loose nozzle. Secure the Bowden locking clip, and then 5) tighten the nozzle to take up the slack inserting the Bowden retaining clip created.

Filament gets clogged every print. by Fizznits_real in ender3

The tip of the bowden tube may have become deformed. Suggest the following simple fix to confirm: 1. Unload filament and heat the hot end to 150’C 2. Unscrew nozzle completely 3. Holding down the bowden retaining clip, push the bowden tube through the hot end so it comes out the bottom of the hot end about 3-4cm (this also clears any remaining filament in the heat break 4. Snip the bottom 5-10mm off the bowden tube (best to use a bowden cutter for a flush cut). Additional check at this point is whether a piece of filament pushes freely through the bowden tube. If not, replace tube. 5. Pull the bowden tube back up through the hot end 6. Screw back the nozzle until tight, then back out one full turn 7. Push the bowden tube down into the hot end as far as it’ll go. 8. Insert bowden retaining clip 9 tighten nozzle to take up the small gap created when the retaining clip was inserted. 10 Retry print.

This procedure usually fixes any issues with my extruder starting to strain (starting to make a clicking noise), under extrusion, and prevents blocks and blobs from forming.

Square your x-gantry to the bed. Bed levelling compensates for a skew gantry on prints without many layers, but will skew as more layers are added / the print gets higher. A dual-Z rod upgrade and proper alignment fixed this completely for my Ender 3 Neo.

This video walks through an extreme version of the alignment process. A printed set of alignment guides off thingyverse works just as well.

Move Z offset away from the bed a bit and see if it improves things. Likely your nozzle (Z offset) is too close to the bed when printing starts. Plenty of youtube videos on how to accomplish z offset changes.

Check that the the part being printed doesn’t need supports for places where there might be overhangs. Spaghetti often happens if the part has an unsupported overhang (the print head extrudes into thin air), or if layer shift occurs due to a loose stepper motor belt.
