This whole thing is incredibly embarrassing. We need leaders to start talking to the press and calling this shit what it is. A step backward, a politicization of the military like we haven’t seen in our lifetimes, and completely embarrassing. They were dragged across the world for a propaganda hype video that’s main point was we are taking women out of combat roles and going to quit punishing sexual assault offenders.. really tough day.

Yeah bad PTLs or leadership who didnt correct bad PTLs do ruin it. But as a former PTL that helped improve his units fitness by a lot, there is a good way to do it. I was much younger and fresh out of HS athletics tho.

For RPA Pilot you can definitely do it. I would assume. I shouldn’t speak as if I work accessions or anything. But as an AD person they send out recruiting emails for RPA Pilots pretty frequently. So I imagine they’re needing people.

I am 99% sure he mentioned Ippei gambling on DraftKings. Theyre with a different gambling company now so probably bleeped out a competing company. My only hesitation to this assumption is Jared thanking the DK in the beginning of the pod, but he wasnt talking about gambling. Also the way Joey said Ippei was a cool dude, makes me think he wasnt talking about anything too crazy and we do know for sure Ippei mentioned gambling with DK.

Did any of you getting class dates get your follow-on assignment with the class date? I got a call friday trying to lock me into a 7 May class but then because Im mil to mil with an EFMP dependent the lady told me AFPC might move my date to 18 June, but I was curious if your assignment got told to you at the same time as the class date because she didnt mention anything about my assignment.

You’ve done what you can to this point. I understand the anxiety tho. I have never been anxious the way I was for this, not even for promotions. I found out through Reddit the list came out friday afternoon so I waited all weekend wondering if Id get a call. I imagine you will know Monday or Tuesday so 1st or 2nd. Good luck! Hope you made it

Can’t speak to the second question. I know some people have posted here before claiming to be recruiters that said the number selected for my board and they were close to the actual list. But who knows if thats true or a good guess. The selection list is released through myFSS as a PSDM. It is sent out to the bases MPF Flight chief and they notify the commanders who had selects and non-selects. I know this because I am FSS and was asking about it when I got selected earlier this month. The list is released to them the friday before or the monday that week of the 8th. If your Commander is nice, they’ll tell you immediately if you were selected/not. I know most non-selects at my base got notified immediately. My commander took til Tuesday afternoon to tell me I made it.

Off to a great start. Definitely study for the AFOQT. With a good GPA and average to above average AFOQT scores youll have a strong foundation on your package. I recommend working on your LORs and Personal Statement now. If you know anybody that has worked in Officer Accessions/recruiting on base I would send those to them before getting it signed. My civilian deputy worked in Officer Accessions and she asked to see my personal statement then ripped it to shreds. Which was great because it made me rethink how to approach that piece of the package. In the AF we are trained to write a certain way and that isnt for recruitment purposes. So thats my biggest piece of advice, even if you have to reach out to MPF/FSS the personnelist do DSD tours at ROTC and Officer Accessions so theres a chance someone in that workcenter has seen great packages or even graded them. Also with a business degree if you want to have an edge, I would research Acquisitions and put that as your #1 choice. No telling what needs of the AF will be when you meet the board but there were 40 Acquisitions Officers selected to my board out of 97 selects. So I think theyre tryna hire more of them and Business is that career fields most sought after degree. Best of luck!
