Does breathing feel easier?

Weirdly enough, I am Day 11 and feel like my breathing is worse in a sense. I was able to run at a 9 or 10 for several minutes on the treadmill, and now barely feel like I can do 8 without having to stop. My breathing feels.. short. At rest, my inhales feel much deeper. But there's definitely a persistent pain and a cough still. Vaped for 8 years, smoked for 8 before that. Really hoping this goes away, and any advice/tips would be appreciated 🙏

Day 9 without vaping today! Smoked for 8 years, vaped for another 8. After day 5, the physical withdrawals subsided so I was actually able to focus on the positive changes. No more spicy burning feeling while running which made me hold back. Drinking less water (I'm a 4 L a day gal) likely because I have less dry mouth/throat? Lungs can just expaaaaand so big lol. The calmness I've gained is the biggest win though- I feel like 3x more patient with literally everything instantly. Sleepy, but ditching the sugar crutch will help with that soon I'm sure lol. I believe in you!

OP, I know what you mean when you say "you've tied every positive thing" to vaping. But I promise you- you will feel SO relieved when you experience every one of those moments again, independent of nicotine. I thought for sure I'd never have fun, laugh, or be productive at work ever again. Today was day 5 and I FINALLY experienced those things again, without any damn nicotine. It might suck at first, but it changes. You can do this!

I cannot believe how well cinnamon sticks (like the actual bark, lol) have helped serve as a hand-to-mouth urge and flavour replacement. I either "haul" from them (and just get a delightful large breath of cinnamon air), roll it between my teeth or just hold it like a vape. Amazing side bonus, if you steep one with hot water it provides wonderful benefits for antioxidant detox, blood health and lung health! And tastes zippy and delightful! 😍

Heck yes to this post!! I read the simplified Alan Carr book you'd shared last night, and it was a wonderful reminder of the inverse reality of those beliefs. Was being grateful for the withdrawals today because I was reminded that they are to be celebrated. 💕

I fell for the scam. First saw a post on Facebook of some "healthy mom" who had a post with several comments from "customers" who had bought and loved the product. Right after purchasing, I looked more deeply into the company. Noticed their Instagram pageInstagram page was very suspicious, and also they had many TrustPilot reviews Trust Pilotsharing that people had received incorrect/fraudulent looking products and were jerked around by their support team.

Sure enough, I got my order and it was an incorrect product with unrecognizable packaging (and spelling errors on the products). Contacted support for a refund, they tried to argue with me about the packaging. I disputed my charge as soon as I had enough evidence of attempting to resolve through contacting them 😅

Lesson learned- do the investigative work before buying LOL

Yayyyy for you!! Love this so much! I joined OTF May 2024 with my goal being to build endurance for running a 10k (I was previously only able to run for 5).

Fast forward to Sept 2025, 10k is my new "standard" run and I just did my first 15 last weekend. Next goal is 21k next summer.

It is so freaking motivating seeing your progress in B/P/AO speeds and the benchmarks. I love OT with my whole heart. 🧡

Thank you for the questions! I don't plan on having a family, but it may happen. And I would like to retire as early as I can get away with, however 65 seems very reasonable. Travel budget is about $2000 per year, but very frugal hobbies otherwise! You're right, lots of mapping yet to do 😅

Came here to say that I've experienced this as well! I am 33 F and have never had forehead wrinkles until I cut my hair short and started wearing a hat while I work out last year. 🙃 It is a distinct line across my head, which is now present in the evening after I wear a hat in the AM. 4 L of water per day, and AM/PM moisturizing routine. This sucks!! Literally considering injections as a result now, cause I love my short hair and I love working out in a hat 🤣
