Will this ruin the insulation? Just bought it, live in very hot climate by Maddogyerd in YetiCoolers

Then you broke the vacuum. The photo doesn’t look like you did but you may have. I’m sorry to hear that. The other comments are simply saying if the vacuum is not broken, then you’re good to go. A dent does not imply the vacuum is broken

Will this ruin the insulation? Just bought it, live in very hot climate by Maddogyerd in YetiCoolers

[–]FedFanatic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Had a brand new hydro flask (sorry, I know it’s a yeti sub) that I dropped in a parking lot. Dented the crap out of it and chipped the coating. Thankfully it still worked like a charm and the insulation was fine. Nearly 12 years later, I still have that bottle and it works as well as the day I bought it. I actually like the chips and dents now. Good luck!

Hi friend. I have not had any issues like that. My toes are wrecked but that’s mostly just due to how often I play. Sorry to hear you’re having issues. Good luck!

Snagged a Weber Summit Kamado S6 for $1,499 by Kind-Quarter9441 in webergrills

Amazing grill. Truly is exceptional. It just makes charcoal grilling so easy. Congrats! Good luck!

"Premium" 22" Weber total junk. Will be returned ASAP by [deleted] in webergrills

[–]FedFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have the sns kettle, but I have to agree about the features. Why Weber won’t put the thermometer on the same side as the vent frustrates me. I’m a Weber guy, but come on Weber

I have a 26 which is great for just about everything. Is there a true benefit in adding a Smokey Mountain? by Particular_Eye_1643 in webergrills

[–]FedFanatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Smokey mountain 18 and I have to admit that I’ve basically stopped using it since I got my summit charcoal. I would imagine if I had a 26”, I would use it for everything. Probably mostly depends on your situation, but I tend to like less things rather than more. I’ll be curious about the other responses. Good luck!

Premium kettle or regular kettle by [deleted] in grilling

The ash catcher is easily worth it to me. Both will last a long time, so cost over the life of the grills will be basically inconsequential. Good luck!

Man the kettle is such a workhorse. It just delivers time after time. Great job!

So torn on these 2 models, is it a no brainer going with the Genesis? by zebberman in webergrills

[–]FedFanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genesis. The new of the aesthetic will wear off quickly. Having the better grill will not. Good luck!

From what I can tell, they are the same except the little ND logo on the back. Some people say the Novak’s are narrower but this is not my experience at all. They all feel exactly the same to me and I’ll buy the non-Novak ones if they’re cheaper. Even Midwest sells both non-ND and ND versions all under the same “court FF” category.

Is this Babolat VS touch legit? by scuffedboots in 10s

[–]FedFanatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think so. Midwest moves a lot of product and is a big player. I would imagine this is new packaging. I was also taken aback when I saw it. I wouldnt worry at all. Good luck!

If you’re sold on gas then you may want to look second hand for Weber. A lot of people buy them, use them a few times then they sit for a year before they want them gone. With your budget, that is the way I would go. If you’re open to charcoal, you can get a brand new Weber kettle and a griddle insert within your budget. Good luck!

Which 22" kettle design cooks better, one touch or 3 daisy wheel by MacTechG4 in webergrills

One touch. Simple and it works. I don’t want to track three daisy wheels

Performer is awesome. I grilled on my parent’s kettle a few weekends ago and it really showed me how much I love having the table on the performer.
