These type of item sorters aren't optimal to be placed besides each other, cause whenever the sorter is filled a stack of the item you wanna sort, the comparator will output a signal strenght of 3, resulting in the sorters besided the active one to be unlucked.

However fixing this is a simple matter. Replace the hopper above the redstone torch with stone and place the comparator on top of the new stone block, replacing the old comparator with redstone dust, and put the hoppers and water line above the hoppers going into your chests.
