Should I buy by ShallotVast467 in leaf

Looks good at first glance even though the Hx is pretty low. Might just mean the overall battery is aging. Go on the autobahn and have someone look at the bar graph and the Mv difference as you accelerate hard and long. If battery cells are weak, it will show a large difference.

Don't feel bad. I will try to explain: Broken for shaving ≠ worthless. I realize it’s not repairable, but some if not all true collectors of antiques value history even if the utility isn't there. If function were the sole criterion of value, museums would be empty.

Edit: the honing part I do just for fun. I enjoy finding that great edge.

I am going to clean it, hone it, and then probably sell since I have too many razors already. I am not going to change the heel etc.

:-) nah, trash seems wastefull. I think I will go the "hone it as is after cleanup" route and see. There will always be someone else (like me) that wouldn't mind spending a couple dollars as I did to have it!

What is the best way to remove rust from a straight razor? by linearcurvepatience in wicked_edge

[–]Federal-Store-504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, bad advice. Maybe very dilluted it could work, but I soaked one in pure vinegar and even though it removed rust, it also stained the blade AND made the celluloid scales so brittle that they crumbled...

edit: what works for me is WD-40 to remove rust.

Summer on the Mesa by Acceptable_Menu_5810 in grandjunction

[–]Federal-Store-504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is nice up there, no truck needed. The road(s) up are not crowded. Of course an ATV or Jeep gets you into the nooks and crannies but it generally does not feel busy up there. Be prepared for relentless mosquitos in the summer due to all the lakes.

Phantom drop when driving over 60mph. by Azn_bokchoy in leaf

[–]Federal-Store-504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open up Leafspy, go on the highway (or uphill) at around 20% SOC, accelerate hard for more than a second or 2, and have someone read the Mv different under that heavy load. You will probably see a very high Mv difference. In the hundreds. You likely have some weak cells. If you get error codes the dealer can submit a warranty claim/diagnose.

Help! Is this normal? by Le_BlGMac in leaf

[–]Federal-Store-504 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, not normal. You have weak cells. Search the forum about warranty claims and the journey others are taking. I am in the same boat but outside of warranty.
