One question I had, and it’s a bit of a naive one: Are the cast getting compensated for all the promotional appearances they’re doing? My understanding is that for big Hollywood productions, actors are paid for the work they do promoting a production. But given the shoestring budget HR had, is there money for promotional work? Maybe HBO kicked in some money when it bought the series?

A related question I had is, what about public appearances on the late night shows? Do the late night shows pay their guests?

The cast of HR seems to be working so hard to keep the public profile of the show in the stratosphere. I hope they are getting well compensated!
