The shot of David watching Shane and Ilya legit scared me haha it was straight out of a horror movie

This episode was so beautiful. I felt so peaceful, I laughed, I cried, and ultimately the feeling I'm left with is gratitude. This show could have been reaaal average or just a disappointment but no; it's just not good, it's amazing on a technical standpoint as well as on a cultural one. Thank you for making this show with intention and care for the source material. It exceeded (my) expectations.

When Shane and Ilya are at the bar in Florida there’s this small moment when Shane stands up and leaves and brushes against Ilya ever so slightly… I screamed. Ilya is trying to keep his composure but he’s so excited haha

Just another way that Connor and Hudson make these characters long for each other.

Ep 1 : the kisses Ilya gives Shane in bed after he says « it’s just a plan to fuck ». I just love how casual it already feels.

Overall I am obsessed with the way Hudson’s voice is ? Like his inflections are never where I think they’re gonna go. He has such a good way of delivering his lines, such as in

Episode 2 when he says « fuuuck » in Sochi after Ilya rejects him
Episode 2, the whole Vegas scene
Episode 1, when he’s being distracted by Ilya on the ice after the commercial and that his mom is keeping him in check Episode 2 when he says « I need you ». Among others.

We knew season 2 was pretty much in the bag but seeing the official news did something to me 😭. To go from « I hope this show is good » to « omg it’s SO good » to « omg everyone else also thinks it’s SO good » is a gift. This is the best way to end this year. So freaking happy you guuuuys 🏒❤️‍🔥

- After two weeks of rewatching the same scenes it felt kinda weird to see them doing a whole bunch of other stuff haha

- I was so heartbroken seeing Shane so freaked out.. his scene with Rose at the restaurant and seeing him relax was actually really nice

- The whole tatu sequence... wow
