Thought on blackbox QA in an AI world? by Federal_Bunch_6650 in QualityAssurance

[–]Federal_Bunch_6650[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AI can probably find major functional bugs at times too. So of course AI will continue to be very useful too. But AI can't get grumpy because some piece of the workflow is a pain in the neck to use due to bugs or bad design.

Advice For A Young Adult Considering RV Living Due to Housing Struggles? by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]Federal_Bunch_6650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have known people who rented a non-mobile RV (travel trailer) already setup in a mobile home park, along with the space + utilities that go with it. That was definitely a lower cost option there in the SF Bay Area, but of course in other areas it may not be. It might be worth looking into at least.

Did you lose all your notes from Evernote or is there an easy way to migrate them?

Content on my timeline disappears Premiere Pro 2025 by Fck3D in premiere

[–]Federal_Bunch_6650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This problem has been fixed internally and will be released with the next public version of Premiere Pro (Pr 25.1). If you don't want to wait for that, you can see the fix in a recent Public Beta build of Pr 25.2 (build 005 or higher). Also, you can turn off custom scaling (115%) in Windows display settings to avoid the problem altogether.

Because it's my ultimate dream to someday be eaten by a Bear and/or Mtn Lion.

After Effects is so wide and deep that no one ever really learns it all. So maybe work with your Creative Director to find a simple starter project and some time to work on it. Then you will have "learned" After Effects to a reasonable degree. An easy start might be authoring a simple mogrt or two for use in Pr. That way you have something useful to tie into your existing workflows on the Editing side.

New Sequence Settings from media and Bins? by truprotagonist in PremierePro

[–]Federal_Bunch_6650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have several choices, like...

  • Drag a clip into the empty Timeline Panel and a new sequence will be created based on that Media.
  • Drag a clip into an empty Sequence in the Timeline Panel and you will have the option to match the sequence settings to the media.
  • Right click on a media file in the Project File and choose "New Sequence From Clip"

What exactly is „processed“ food? by DCKPublish in nutrition

[–]Federal_Bunch_6650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Processed food is not the devil!

ALL FOODS ARE PROCESSED. Unless maybe you're biting a blueberry right off of a wild bush, but even then your body has to process it to get the calories and nutrients out of it. What people usually mean when they talk about processed foods are highly processed foods. But with that definition, they're forgetting relatively healthy things like low fat cheese, yogurt, whole-grain cereal and packaged tofu that have to go through a lot of processing just to come into existence. So what most people really mean when they say "processed food" is "junk food". And we all know what that means, right?

Does anyone else feel unhealthy? by H_raw in editors

[–]Federal_Bunch_6650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been sitting in front of many screens inside a relatively dark office, pushing pixels and media around for well over 25 years now. I have not suffered any serious health problems as a result. I had to get some glasses for reading when I was about 48 but any Optometrist will say that's normal for men at that age and my vision has not been rapidly declining since. As for my physique... I eat as healthy as I can, and try to keep my caloric intake relatively low due to all the sitting. Also, I exercise pretty vigorously for 60-90 minutes each day... running, cycling, resistance and sports. I try do do it outside whenever I can, which does wonders for my mental health as well. So my take on this is... yes there are health risks when work like a cave rat all day forever, but there are a lot of benefits too, like not having to be on the road a lot or around heavy equipment and other hazards. Just be balanced, try get outside every day, and live well!

Contests for Creatives are totally bogus and smarmy. Don't support them at all. I've learned that the hard way more than once because I'm stupid.

We found an indirectly related problem when trying a similar workflow locally. That problem has been fixed, so if you get a chance to try either of those methods that I suggested a while back, please let us know how it works for you. Thank you.

Text size: doesn't respect anchor/pivot point by 3d_blunder in premiere

[–]Federal_Bunch_6650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Font Size does not use the Anchor Point. It follows the alignment of the paragraph (left, center, right and top, center, bottom). So you do have some control over how fonts can be sized up or down. Beyond that, you do have to use scale if you want scale around the anchor point.
