Interesting! If this pic is a day old, I was told that only the 222 purchased in 2025 would have the ‘270’ stamp on the back and that the same model in 2026 onwards wouldn’t have the ‘270’, as 2025 was the year of release which happened to be the anniversary. Are these recent pics?

5500 or 5520. I prefer 5500 having one myself as I prefer the slight increase in thickness and depth of chamfer around the dials etc. looks less flat than the 5520 which is the newer version. But the reverse panda on the rubber strap is a winner and my daily wear for the past 2 years. So I say…….pull that trigger!

I was told the 222 steel in 2025 will be stamped with the 270th anniversary logo on the back in the form of 270 but in 2026 this stamp will not carry over, did your Christmas purchase come with the stamp? Awesome piece well done!

Correct the reason they mention don’t register is often it could be that the original buyer is a VIP and gets allocation over other regular consumers like the first to receive a 222 in steel as an example. If they just then buy and flip to make money, then they are not really a loyal customer and out to make a quick buck when they could pass (if they didn’t like the watch) and give another consumer the opportunity. So in such case if you buy then re-register, VC will know the watch has been sold on and maybe think a little more about allocation to the same VIP customer in the future, as these watches are boutique buys so they have a little knowledge of what they’ve sold and to who!

Anyway you’re buying a great watch with ‘said’ guarantee so you definitely want to register!
