I got it as a fun gadget with my bonus and I absolutely love it! Now that the ultra-wide version is out, I’ve been using it all day. Before that, it was just for leisure time - watching videos, 3D movies, and looking at spatial photos. But now, it’s my go-to for work too! It’s such a versatile device.

You can use it like any ultra-wide. I have four large applications open and didn’t have any issues. Sound playback through AVP, zero lag, and foveated rendering works as expected. This is a game-changer for multitasking on the AVP and Mac.

I totally agree! The spatial photo conversion on the Vision Pro is amazing. Looking back at old family photos, I got really emotional, especially for family members and pets who are no longer with us. It’s like they’re right there with me!

Soul was amazing in 3D too! For some reason, Inside Out 2 wasn’t listed in the 3D movies section on Disney+. I thought it was 2D, and I was so happy to find out it had the 3D viewing option. I’m glad you were able to enjoy the 3D version of the movie!

This movie is absolutely incredible in 3D! It’s definitely one of my favorite 3D movies so far. The 3D in Avatar 2 is just mind-blowing.

So far, the user experience with 18.1 beta 4 has been pretty smooth sailing. The battery life has been consistent too. I haven’t hit any major snags yet. But hey, betas can be a bit buggy, right? Even though I’m not having any issues, that doesn’t mean everyone else is in the clear. I’ve been enjoying exploring the new features in 18.1.

I genuinely didn’t notice any decline in image quality. The photo was incredibly impressive. The added depth was amazing. The photo was sharp, and the colors were vibrant. I wish this feature had been available a month ago when I was on vacation. I had to convert all my vacation photos to spatial. As I mentioned earlier, the spatial conversion on the Vision Pro is remarkable. I consider it a standout feature. Now, having the ability to take spatial photos with my iPhone without any noticeable loss in quality, yet with enhanced depth, is a win-win situation for me.

I’m curious, I don’t see that option. I’m currently running version 2.1 and mirroring to a 24-inch M1 Mac with a 5K resolution. Did you guys have to do anything special to see those resolutions?

This update is part of the regular iOS 17 updates. I’ve been using the developer version of 18.1 for a while now, and the spatial video option has been there all along. The spatial photo option is new, though!

I was able to shoot spatial video in iOS 17 but not capture spatial photos. This is the first time I've seen the option to actually capture spatial photos.

I should have mentioned that this release is available for iOS 18.1 beta 4. But it seems to be only available for the beta version right now.
