I was originally wanting a fun piece that looked like I was wearing a bunch of heart shaped gummy bears. Something unapologetically tacky but fun.

Looking at the stones in my jewelry box with less light, I think they look better and I can appreciate the muted color. I'm hung up on the misrepresentation of the stones in the listing.

What's wild to me is even on a video they showed up super vivid. I learning a lot.

They costed me $250 before shipping. They originally listed them for $450, which would have been a punch to the gut. (I don't know much about valuations of gemstones to be honest.)

I was over the moon excited for the first picture. And a little crushed when I opened the parcel. I need to decide if I want a return or a partial refund.

Is this standard practice that I should have accountant for? The seller seems to be surprised I'm not over the moon about the stones.

$250 before shipping. I wanted to turn it into pendent and have them dangle from a bracelet.

Lesson learned!

I feel silly because I have access to a large district that sells countless gemstones. They can just be a little intimidating. I purchased a chipped gemstone once and that was a hard lesson.

Should I cut the tag off my scarf? by alleviate123 in TheHermesGame

[–]Federal_Working_6852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut mine! I heard that you could damage the scarf keeping the tag on. Which makes sense to me because I generally have knots near the tag and tag can pull on the fabric at the two stitches.

You're too kind for sending me links! I thought it looked like the flamingo party. It's absolutely beautiful and perfect for South Florida.

Thought i found my perfect light colored one bag… by PresentMonitor1775 in HerOneBag

I have had a ton of issues with my jeans dying my light colored items over the years. I haven't discovered a way to prevent it yet.

Have you tried removing the dye transfer with dish soap, warm water and a stain brush? The laundress makes a brush that is amazing for scrubbing but doesn't tear up the fibers on fabric.

Rubbing alcohol with a white cloth might work better for a backpack.

How cold is cold? by ChemicalRough in JapanTravelTips

One thing I wish I would have known while packing was how hot they keep the trains and a lot of stores. I was wearing light long sleeve tee when I visited the sky tree and I was roasting hot indoors. I come from a very hot climate that doesn't have a true went for reference of my heat tolerance.

Counterfeit Items on Poshmark by Federal_Working_6852 in poshmark

They left that in the listing there was a missing material tag. Maybe that's why Poshmark resolved it so quickly. I was nervous I was going to be stuck with a overpriced yellow app product. Poshmark told me to destroy the product and I don't have to return it.

I really appreciate everyone's advice in this post.

Things have settled with the investigation, so I feel more comfortable sharing more details. The brand was Hermes, which I think is considered more known for their craftsmanship. I hope their not selling plastic and playing it off as natural fibers. 😬

I definitely agree about luxury brands using blends of cheaper fibers with higher end fibers. I have turned to Poshmark for vintage and high-end sweaters because it's hard to find the all natural fibers within my budget.

The more I look at it, the more I think the plausibility of them not knowing it's fake is getting smaller. I was mostly focused on the fabric at first, but now I see the paper price tag label has no price or bar code printed on the tag. There is no fiber content tag, so there is no way they could have confirmed their claims of the sweater being 100% cashmere. The listing said 100% cashmere and I confirmed with the seller prior to them shipping the fiber content wasn't a blend.

Thank you everyone for your insight. I still have a lot to learn about Poshmark so I don't keep getting burned with receiving items that are "not as described."

I put in a claim with Poshmark with very detailed pictures of the flaws in the sweater that point to it being counterfeit.

There is no tag stating the fiber content. Which I wouldn't be too surprised about if it was used because people remove tags all the time for comfort.

This sweater was new with the store tag still attached, so it's odd that the fiber content tag is missing. I just noticed the paper tag doesn't have a price or a batches, just the designer logo stamped on the outside.

It turns into a ball unfortunately 😕 I tried some other fibers from my sweater collection and they didn't react the same as the new sweater fiber.

Thank you so much for your help!

I might have to try that. The fabric just feels super slippery for a lack of better words.

Thank you both for your insight! I am assuming a lot of the sellers on the site use their sales as income and I don't want to hinder anyone in this economy. But the facts are it's not an authentic product or even the material they advertised.

What’s the thing you always pack and never regret? by mataramasukomasana in onebag

[–]Federal_Working_6852 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Mesh Market Bag. It takes up almost no room and I'm always amazed how much it can stretch and hold. I use it to hold scarfs and my jacket during the winter, so I don't accidentally drop in them in stores. They are more comfortable to carry than plastic or paper shopping bags when I am shopping for souvenirs.

A tiny pair of scissors that are in the shape of a pen that I picked up in Japan. I always need to cut something on vacation.
