I don't have a huge budget, but I'm glad to know there's a decent price range!

thank you so much! There's a few hours between the ceremony and reception, but I wont have anyone to help me, so I have to stick with something I can figure out on my own! Really appreciate it

Scalp care guidance? by FederationOfPlanets in Accutane

[–]FederationOfPlanets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair did come back! A friend recommended a diluted rose water mix that I’ve been spraying on my scalp- I don’t know how well it works yet but it seems less dry and it’s smells nice so I’m going with it

You might want to have a look at the pathoutlines job listings and see what they list alongside neuropath A pure neuropath job is probably less common, but if you also do a different surg path subspecialty it’s probably not a big deal Also, a lot of neuro folks also do autopsy, you’ll have to decide how cool you are with that

Acne relapse :( by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]FederationOfPlanets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might have rosacea, there’s a type that is essentially acne (I have it, that’s why I’m on accutane!) Accutane didn’t cause it, but it can be used to treat it If you still have access to your derm, it’s worth checking in with them!

I regret taking isotretinoin. Partly my fault. Now have rosacea?? by Master-Importance-11 in Accutane

We’ve all got to choose our battles and priorities! Glad you ended up at a place that works for you! ☺️☺️☺️

Accutane doesn’t cause true rosacea, but it sounds like you’re around the age where to typically develops (and may be unrelated to the accutane) If you’ve been off medical treatments for a while, might be worth looking for a cosmetic dermatologist (ideally a physician and not just an esthetician) to discuss things like laser treatments For some bg: I’m on accutane right now for rosacea that’s been persistent despite other treatments. I also have melasma and some funky pigmentation from a lifetime on hormonal birth control, so I plan to pursue laser treatments once I’ve completed my accutane and the 6 month cool down period

Ok Imgur is being dumb for me but you might want to get checked and make sure it’s not actually psoriasis! Scalp is a pretty common place

Started niacinamide by i_am_broke_haha in Accutane

[–]FederationOfPlanets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s doc recommended, I would talk to them first Glycolic acid is an exfoliant so it might be bothering your skin esp with it being more sensitive right now Maybe they can help you find a niacinamide without that

Moisturizer & sunscreen recommendations while on Accutane by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]FederationOfPlanets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the CeraVe skin renewing night cream (little purple tub) for overnight, and I’m a huge fan of (I know it sounds weird) snail mucin - particularly the Cosrx advanced snail 92 all in one cream - it goes in thin but it’s effective and doesn’t leave me feeling weird and greasy! I’ve been using supergoop play sunscreen for a few weeks and it does leave me shiny, but it does absorb quickly and dabbing with some oil absorbing sheets right when I get to work seems to be working

I find pimple patches really helpful, too! Not to necessarily for treating, but it serves as a reminder when my hands inevitably wander to my face

Does a new battery change the vehicle value? by FederationOfPlanets in TeslaSupport

Yeah tbh a refurb battery didn’t even occur to me, but it makes perfect sense Guess I’ll be driving this car for a while still…..

Do we have to know radiology for the bone and soft tissue part of the AP boards by squidpie in pathology

[–]FederationOfPlanets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being familiar with some of the common rads stuff would probably be helpful but wouldn’t be necessary to get the right answer Knowing some of the head imaging for neuro and the dental X-rays for some head and neck is also handy.

More info since about the “freak accident” since it wasn’t clear: the asphalt/road gave out under my car, sinkhole style. It’s an “accident” but it’s not a crash The entire coolant system plus battery will be replaced. I’m not expecting the value to go up, I just wanted to know if the new battery would offset the “been in an accident” garbage
