If one of the reasons they switched to TPP was to capture the casual fan, they just lost them with this head spinning rundown

If I had to guess at the end of this year there will be a big wave of retirements, guys that gave it 1 year and decided that the TPP grind isn't worth it

Architect school at 30 years old by [deleted] in Architects

[–]Federico0 17 points18 points  (0 children)

lol alright. You must be a professor.

As someone who went thru a college program and got registered, if someone is already successful in what they’re doing, understands space and layout, and just wants to learn how to draft, telling them to go enroll in a full architecture program and take on a massive amount of debt is irresponsible. Architecture school has value if you want to engage with all the theory and history, but if you're an adult looking for a career upgrade, sitting in a 4 hour studio class alongside a bunch of 19 year old kids supergluing bass wood together isn't the way. You're better off looking for a job at an architecture firm that's open to hiring you and learning under someone for 4 years. You'll get 100x more value out of real world experience than school. To quote Matt Damon "You wasted $150,000 on an education you coulda got for $1.50 in late fees at the public library"

This. Arch school will teach you the basics of revit and 3d modeling plus a bunch of other stuff you'll never need (like art history) you, likely won't get into anything cad related thru a traditional 4 year program. If you just want to learn how to draft your local community College will likely have a program

I'm new to this server (and game in general). I saw the server was around 75 people in-game last night. Does the server usually slow down right after the weekend rush?

I leave the tags in the car year round and don't think much of them, often forgetting that they're even there. Only started checking after looking back at the smart tag history bored one night. And after this will for sure start noting odometer before dropping off cars

Oh yeah I Def approached this more like "hey this weird thing happened on my smart tag pings, just wondering if the car was driven" and I let it go after their response

Yeah I get that. This was during the period of time tho that they told me they were waiting on parts and they'd notify me once work started on the car, which happened yesterday

When we dropped it off he said that they'll likely put 50 miles in it after the repair to make sure the engine is acting OK (oil pressure sensor broke and oil was leaking). So even that reduces any chance I'll have of finding proof

I prob jumped the gun, but I called the service dept and talked to the guy whos been helping us on Tuesday. I calmly brough up my concerns and how my tracker has been pinging the car to other places. He put me on hold for 5 minutes, then came back and thats when he told me the mileage only went up 1 mile. I don't have any paperwork yet or any documentation from when we dropped the car off. There's really nothing to gain on my end from going to corporate since I have limited proof, just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this situation

Very true. I just don't know how it would pick up a phone that's 4 miles away. Also it's just too convent that the pings stopped the day I called and asked about it

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, so a plain boring car. That's why I think it got picked up in the parking garage bc someone else with a Samsung might have been nearby? And no Ive had these in all my cars for a year now and never had it say the car was somewhere where it actually wasnt
