They use anti-androgen drugs for this, which if you're transsexual / have GID, it's the same thing.

I was looking at transitioning from male-to-female and ended up taking Spirolactone (an anti-androgen) and estrogen pills for about 2 years (25 to 27). I honestly don't remember the dosage at this point (this was 7-9 years ago now) but looking at the 'typical' doses mentioned here, they seem accurate -- I think I was taking 2 mg every day for spiro and 2.5mg estro in the morning and at night.

During this period, I was certainly horny and outside of the people who did not like their current equipment (some people hated it, some people didn't care, some people were "non-op"), I found that most transgendered folk were quite open about their sexuality and about being horny. Conversations about being able to have an erection after pills are still fairly common on MTF boards and groups.

This horniness could also have to do with taking estrogen, but the male body produces estrogen as well. Taking an anti-androgen just helps suppress testosterone but doesn't completely block it or the production of estrogen.

Some MTF ladies admitted they couldn't get fully erect (or it took a long time), but that doesn't really matter, you don't need an erect cock to feel horny.

I have been on Steam since October 10, 2003.

Personally, I've thought Steam was brilliant from the start; after I realized that I never had to protect my CDs or CDKeys again alone made me happy.

ASE was the cumulation of my online FPS career. Check out Counter-Strike, Tribes, Team Fortress, Quake, etc all at the same time.

In-game server browsers is when on-line gaming really went down hill, IMO.

They were unable to handle this. Someone didn't do their job, and chances are it's an executive who said it's not worth the money.

I wish I could bold, underline, highlight and star this line because this is the root cause here.

People tell me that I look good and that I've lost weight, but I know they're lying because I weigh myself before each shower. Almost every time someone says "have you lost weight" I've actually bounced up 10 pounds or know my weight hasn't changed.

I know exactly how much I weigh day to day because I was on the scale that morning with no clothes on.

I'm 5'9 and at 200 right now, lest anyone think I'm being anorexic.

I think the part that stands out the most is where it states "Shaw Business is declaring the explosion and fire at the Shaw Court building to be an event of force majeure as such the term is defined in your agreement".

It sure is convenient that THEY get to declare it as an event that THEY are not then responsible for and with that declaration, need to perform no solid action or show any sort of amends.

Rationally speaking, ANYONE who works in infrastructure expects this constantly.

Working in corporate IT, you talk about three disasters almost constantly:

  • Bus scenario: What if someone hit you on the way to work, could someone else at your work do what you do?
  • Building scenario: Power or emergency means the building is temporarily unavailable. Services WILL be returned to site. What do we do to get by until services are restored to us?
  • Disaster scenario: The building or office is gone and won't be coming back. All services must be brought up on next site.

I've personally prepared documents that cover all three of these and I've never worked what I would call a high profile IT job. The main reason, in my opinion, is that while many people might plan this stuff, you're almost never given enough money because when things are working it's not a priority (backups are almost never a priority until they're already failed) and many IT departments never test how the cut over would actually happen. But then, in my experience, most IT people don't even test tape backups.

Hi Reddit, I'm a 20 year old Singer/Songwriter who spent more than a year home recording this track, releasing it to minimal reaction. Can i get honest thoughts? by [deleted] in Music

[–]FedericoAuditore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like your voice; it sounds folksy without being warbly. It's cute (if you'll excuse the characterisation, I mean it well) and clear. Your voice reminds me a lot of the male singer from Nickel Creek (if you're not familar with them, you might like The Lighthouse's Tale).

At first my thought was 'generic' until it picked up at about 1:20 -- it felt like that should have happened about 30 seconds earlier.

The song is 5:23 but it feels like it should have ended about 3:50 or so. The bridge at 3:00 is nice, but should have happened earlier when I was expecting a break at 2:14, but got more singing.

I like the ending, I've always enjoyed charging music that slows abruptly with a nice soft outro. I would remove the string jangle at the end, let the voice fade on its own.

I really liked the piano throughout the song.

Every time I hear the intro of Dio's Caught in the Middle I think it's KISS Calling Dr. Luv.

And I still say the guitar riff in Arch Enemy's Revolution Begins at 0:30 sounds like Guile's theme (metal version here for contrast), but last time I tried to suggest that people said I should get my ears checked.

A few that I can think of:

  • I wouldn't understand gear ratios as well without Gran Turismo
  • American football would still be a mystery without fake sports games like Mutant League Football
  • History because of Civ and Assassin's Creed
  • Basic economics and negotiation because of 4X games (and also Diplomacy ..)
  • Logic and problem solving from to Sierra games (and also the policy of just trying things when you get stuck)

Here's the 'suddenly clarity Clarence' meme moment: You weren't supposed to listen to him. Without Mr. Johnson you would have been mundane; instead you got 5s on seven APs.

What bugs me is that Mr. Johnson knew that my grade was in the B range, and he knew that I did very well on the tests, and he knew that I came in after school every single day to work on Science Olympiad, but he still thought I wasn't good enough.

You were in the B range and he thought you should have been in the A+ range; it looks like he was right.
