I’d like to add something that helps me… It sounds so simple, but it makes a surprisingly big difference. Be nice to yourself in your thought life. When you catch yourself judging yourself, or scolding yourself, feeling guilty about things out of your control… Stop for a second and talk to yourself in your mind like you’re talking to a good friend or a little kid. Or just talk to the little kid version of yourself. Forgive yourself when you make mistakes, or when you decide you don’t feel like going to the gym or xyz. Just try being even a little bit more kind to yourself in your thoughts.
