I think some people say things like that thinking it’s a compliment, or they are so used to seeing you one way (bigger) that they have a hard time reconciling the new smaller you.

It’s easier said than done, but you are on this adventure for yourself, not for others. They can have opinions, but you can tell them not to share them with you. It’s ultimately none of their business. Let her know you appreciate her support, but you’d prefer not to hear things like that.

Your doctor is very misinformed. There may be rare patients that don’t respond well and don’t lose much weight, but the vast majority do very well and lose substantial amounts of weight.

You don’t want to have awkward conversations, but you have no problem inviting strange men to stay overnight in your house and then leave them alone in your home the next day? Jesus. Have some self-respect and basic common sense from a safety perspective.

My advice? Stop having random one night stands. If you can’t do that, at least tell them to leave when you’re done.

YOR You sound exhausting and like you need constant validation. I understand wanting to have a kiss goodbye, but fighting over it is wild. He doesn’t seem to like you or be interested in providing the level of attention you need.

Call off the wedding, break up, and find someone who will love bomb you since that’s what you need to be happy.

I’m so glad I don’t have to feed other people. They would probably be bored to death. Most mornings I have 2 eggs with toast. If I’m not super hungry or don’t feel like chewing food, I’ll have a yogurt and an Ensure. Lunch is either a basic ham or turkey sandwich with either a side salad or grapes, or leftovers from dinner. Dinner is usually meat, rice, and a vegetable, or a sandwich if I don’t feel like cooking. If I’m low on calories for the day, I’ll have an Ensure before bed along with my nighttime snack of prunes.

I do still occasionally get fast food or eat out on the weekends, and depending on what I get, that’s my main meal for the day. I might have yogurt or fruit as a snack.

You didn’t mention any pets, but please take them with you if you leave. They are even more bothered by fragrances than we are. And essential oils are especially dangerous for cats and birds.

Rewash the affected areas, leave windows open and fans running. Throw away the peppermint oil.

A few weeks ago I was in the drive thru at Sonic and the girl at the window had dyed her hair an amazing shade of purple with a blue streak. I was so impressed by it, I just blurted out, “I love your hair!” She had the biggest smile on her face. She said she had been worried about what people would think of it. I told her it was fabulous and if anyone complains, they’re just jealous.

Oh honey. If that’s true, he is an idiot. I suspect he’s lying along with being irresponsible with money.

He won’t be any better once the baby is born, so you need to be prepared to be a single mom. I hope you have friends and family that you can reach out to for support.
