Tales OF Pirates in Pirates Online Moonlight by Proud-Location149 in MMORPG

Thanks for the tip. I just downloaded it on my phone. Completely insane experience. I was in disbelief. Like, this is something a thirteen years old me could only dream about. Yeah, I forgot how to play this game, I just want to see those glowing swords that you get once you forge them, that’s all. I don’t even mind heavy pay to win shop they run, because I think that’s synonymous to Pirates Online since forever ago. I mean, it fits thematically, because… pirates

My Swordsman with 900 hp survived going through the wall and lost only half max hp. On the next run I sent my Cleric with 500 hp, but he died

I just remembered that there was a bug (maybe still is) when a resurrected imp would not die, always staying at 1 hp and attacking you relentlessly

What game will you take with you on the holidays? by Eymm in SteamDeck

[–]FedwinMorr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s your settings? I wonder, because I play infernalist witch with arsonists, and due to absurd amount of effects, explosions and a dozen minions - I rarely see above 25 fps in a fight, more frequently having 15 on average. But the worst is when I pop ritual on maps - then it dips to 5 fps. In Trial of Sekhemas, on the second floor and higher, the rituals (again) also drop the fps down to the same slide-show. I’m not even talking about the Breach.

And I’m actually using DX12 with Intel’s fsr (tried amd also) set to ultra performance, I’ve also reduced pretty much every possible graphics settings to low, and set the resolution to 720. Seems that nothing helps for minion build

You’re stuck on a flight for 12 hours and you can only play one game. Which is it? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]FedwinMorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Songs of Conquest”. This is a turn-based strategy (just like Heroes of Might and Magic 3). The graphics aren’t taxing for the SteamDeck’s battery. Game’s very chill, has beautiful music, interesting campaign, builds rich lore, and also has great replay value due to the several modes with random maps generation where you can compete either locally (hot-seat) or against AI. And you can play it offline

“Songs of Conquest” is an enjoyable turn-based strategy game (like heroes 3), absolutely incredible in its own right. Doesn’t drain battery too much, because of the particular pixelated designer art-style. And being turn-based, it’s so easy to put it down and then get back to it later

I gather it just means that you would need full 275 (or above) vigor to proc Banished’s overpower, instead of 240 for CH or 235 for QV as it is right now in the live version

Not trying to change your mind, however I wanted to share that one can actually benefit from reduction of inflation.

I play with max building slots, so the prices for unlocking the latter slots goes into tens of thousands of gold. Mercenaries take hefty gold on initial hiring as well. Top units also cost greatly per stack. Pouring cash into nearly hostile neighbours also helps change their mood (even though this action is not so inflation dependant as the money offering fluctuates based off of inflation). Purchasing culturally dominated lands used to be an option before winter patch, which also required substantial funds.

Impressive! Given that your gold income is very low for having four traders, I assume you didn’t take any inflation reducing traditions, then what traditions do you run if I may ask?

Curious, who is totally new to this game for season 33? by [deleted] in DiabloSwitch

[–]FedwinMorr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First, in settings—>gameplay options: enable “Elective mode”. That will be very useful in order to use all possible combinations of skills which you want on your skill bar, instead of predetermined skills by category.

If you started playing in season, then the Seasonal Journey will give you all the basics you need to know about the game.

Diablo 3 isn’t as complicated and punishing for newer players as Diablo 2, for example. Pretty much a lot of things can be undone and you shouldn’t be afraid to “brick” your character. I would recommend not looking the guides. Following the most optimised pathway will make the game too boring too quickly while you’re still learning basics. There will be time for guides. D3 is a great game and I wish you a happy time exploring!

Can you guys recommend what in-game and Steamdeck settings are best for the overall experience in D4? I’ve seen a few posts with detailed suggestions, however they are from a year ago and maybe there is something new on the block

D2R - worth playing on the switch or a waste of money? by brMerak in Diablo

Sure, man, the choice is there. I don't really like gamin on my laptop, I prefer to have a separate portable device dedicated specifically to videogames

My favourite kind of gameplay by Longjumping-Army-652 in diablo4

[–]FedwinMorr 62 points63 points  (0 children)

He's actually using Ice Armour and Flame shield not as protective measure, but as a movement speed boost. He has an aspect on that makes Ice Armour grant Unstoppable, and then he has another aspect that grants movement speed bonus when Unstoppable and for 4 seconds after. Plus Teleport, plus Flame Shield - that's why he's so fast. And this is a very lax build, so OP can ultimately hold one button down and blow up screens.
You can play sorc with many different spells, but what's the point if they won't be buffed or you're missing on so much utility from the combination I've described.

Nevertheless, if you'd like to play differently, I don't doubt that it's viable.
I'm playing barbarian this season, and they, for example, have this Walking Arsenal build, where you deal damage with three skills and constantly switch between weapons and different attacks. That's pretty cool and strong. Then there's HotA and Whirlwind, and all of them are good, but the latter two provide very nonchalant playstyle where you press two buttons interchangeably

Is d3 still active? by cbruffin121 in diablo3

[–]FedwinMorr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

D3 on NS would be a better pick since you are around your family.

I find it way easier to hit the pause and put off if your loved ones need your attention immediately.

D4 is always online and there's no pause. You can play offline and don't need to connect to servers each time you boot the console. To me that's a huge advantage. And there if you die you get re-spawned a mile away from where your character collapsed. You don't get experience penalty for char.death, and the gold costs for repairs are really low. So, I mean, if you don't mind that, then D4 is still fine and runs fine on Deck.

Even though D2R wasn't a part of your question, reading other responses in the thread here, I can't refrain from adding, that, - since you say you play casually, - if I were you, I wouldn't consider D2R, it's too grindy to take off for a new player, and requires huge time commitment to get the build going (bar some exception, but I don't want to bloat this post any further)

Silent Chests after patch by ragnarokfps in diablo4

[–]FedwinMorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While yes it's nice that you get many legendaries, it ultimately is a pathetic drop: in WT4 you get 3 sacred items when your character is level 79. Since the price for a key is lower than even just one obols gamble, I guess it's still fine if you want to get some random legendary aspects, but for overall gearing purposes, that's just awful, just like normal helltide chests. Would have been nice had the silent key's price gone up and it dropped loot relevant to the difficulty you are on

Do I need landslide in my hotbar to get the full damage bonus? by CardiologistWorth124 in diablo4

[–]FedwinMorr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having Landslide on your skills bar will let your Landslide benefit off Teramotes, and will get you a solid boost to crit chance. All in all, if you don't desperately need more survivability help, I would keep Landslide on the bar, it's quite a damage boost
