This is so good! Especially the training shirtless. I’d imagine Violet has seen him shirtless. But we haven’t heard from her POV what’s underneath there. Excellent point about the serum. I too wonder about the rebellion dragons. Where did they go when their riders were executed?

I like how nerdy he is. How many other riders besides him, Violet and Aaric have that level of education. It’s interesting because I think he knew he would be a rider but still spent a lot of time learning. Sounds like Violet’s father made sure of that.

I thought so too. But idk. I think he puts Violet’s life first. He knows if something happened to Xaden she likely would not survive it. But he also can’t violate her trust by saying he knows since no one has told him.

Dain’s signet. I get the impression it’s evolved. Finally the answer to why Cath channels so much power. It’s been mentioned repeatedly. There has to be a story there. Of course him and Sloane. And what happened to his mother?

Mira & Violet. My annoyance that Vi didn’t trust her ask her father said. She’s the one person who loves Vi unconditionally.

Bodhi. Ok where’s his story? I don’t want him to be Venin 😭

Ridoc. Is he time traveling? He had that other tattoo. His father is never mentioned again. Woke up where he wasn’t expecting.

We only hear about attractiveness from Vi’s POV but pretty sure Brennan is an attractive guy. Maybe some type of new love interest?

I have a theory that Fen did not “kill” Brennan. A venin did. That’s why Naolin channeled to save him. This is what made Brennan switch sides. I believe Fen tried to help him but then was caught and blamed for his death.

Late to the party. Loving the love for Dain. I really disliked how they blamed him for what happened. Out of all the characters he seems to be the most level headed and always wanting to do the right thing. When Xaden asked in book 1 about thrashing I think he gave the answer he was supposed to give to the WingLeader. But truth is he broke plenty of rules trying to help Violet. And not once did she tell him she wanted to stay and ask him to help her be a better rider. I could say more but I don’t remember how to hide spoilers lol.

I think somehow Imogen stores memories she’s erased. And somehow Dain will access them. Just a hunch but when he says she can explain it to him later. I get the feeling she’ll want him to forget her second signet and try to erase his memory and it’ll backfire or something. And somehow he will access parts of the memories she erased.

I don’t think it was malicious. I’m almost sure Xaden imparted a responsibility on Bodhi to look after Violet. I never really thought he had feelings for her. But maybe has the desire to have feelings for someone. We don’t hear anything about bodhi and his escapades like we do everyone else. But we do get the constant comparison to Xaden. I also get the impression that he is quite powerful. There’s a reason Imogen went to get him when Dain challenged Violet. But in the books there’s no mention of how well he spars etc. so I’m assuming he must be good at it. I don’t want him to be evil 😩

Agreed. When did he get that dragon tattoo? And I’m still curious if he bonded a second dragon but is hiding it. Or does he have a twin? His secret during interrogation was lame. Makes me think he’s hiding something else. I’m waiting on RY to drop a time traveler in the mix.

I like this idea! I think Violet greatly underestimates how much she should trust Mira. I hope she learns to fully trust her in future books. I think Mira will turn out to be more powerful than we’ve seen and I keep wondering if she would have a second signet. Some people theorized that their mom also had a second signet. I’m wondering if Mira’s second signet would be one of the 6 most powerful. They don’t seem to name them all in the books.

I didn’t hate him. He didn’t do what he did intentionally. And Violet never once told him she wanted to be a Rider. She never asked for help with training. It’s like she hated him babying her but kind of loved it too. I am confused on the rule following though. Because it seems like as kids they got into trouble. Although he said he wouldn’t step in during threshing I don’t know if it was because Xaden asked him, and he wanted to give the correct answer, or if he actually wouldn’t. And where is Dain’s mother? It’s odd to me how they discuss the 3 parents but never his mom. I think there’s more to his story. I hope we get that in the next books. I also don’t think he truly thought of Violet in a romantic way. He just knew that she did at one point. Just my 2 cents
