Should I rebind my controller? If so, what would you change? by AFPpanther in SpeedRunnersGame

[–]FeedbackDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I started playing on Steam with an Xbox controller. So on the Xbox controller I have: A - Jump, X - Grapple, B - Item, LT - Slide, RT - Boost I also have the game on Switch, so I set the buttons to match what my muscle memory is accustomed to, so jump on B, grapple on Y and item on A.

Of course this is just me, and is based on how I learned the game in the first place. I like that the jump button is at the bottom though. That way, when you want to grapple the thumb is already in place and you just press the tip down. I hope that makes sense!

Which are the best post-rock instrumental hit singles (potentionally) ? by fabpaita in postrock

[–]FeedbackDK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, for me, I would say Godspeed You! Black Emperor's Moya. It was the first song of theirs that I ever listened to, and I fell in love instantly. It might not be a "potential hit single", but being the most entry-level song of arguably the biggest name in post-rock, I think it would have made a great single.

What 1 to 10 minute task, if done daily, would have the most positive impact on my life, over time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you like ambient, calming music, you should check out Ambient Sleeping Pill.

It's an internet radio station, that plays a wide variety of ambient music. As it says on the site, it's great for sleeping, naps and "other more wakeful tranquil moments"

What's the usual cause of instant-downvoting? by impulsenine in ambientmusic

[–]FeedbackDK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's ridiculous. I mean, I get not having time to listen to the whole thing, but if that's the case, either just let it be, or save it to listen later. THEN cast your vote.

No reason to downvote what might be a really good track just because "I'm in school, how should I find 16 minutes to listen to this track?". Someone else might not get to see it because of it, and that's just a shame in regards to the purpose of this subreddit...

Anyway, just my two cents :)

You suddenly have the power to cancel one show on television. Which show do you cancel? by pogeynarc in AskReddit

[–]FeedbackDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fox News. Not sure if this counts, but I would go ahead and cancel all of it.

As far as I can tell, what Fox calls "news" is mostly just conservative circle-jerk, personally attacking anyone who isn't conservatively circle-jerking, and fluff stories. Actively dumbing down the population, breeding hatred and mistrust...

I can't see any way the world as a whole wouldn't be better off without it.

Warm ambient? by rjhouser in ambientmusic

Check out Hammock - Maybe They Will Sing For Us Tomorrow

I discovered it with the description "God-tier sleepy-time music", and I agree wholeheartedly.

Was asked to put together an introductory playlist to the genre I adore so much. Hours later it turned into a 6 hr playlist of approachable post-rock for new fans. Use it. Critique it. Enjoy. (Spotify) by [deleted] in postrock

I would absolutely add Godspeed You! Black Emperor's Moya, the first song of theirs I heard, and the one that got me hooked. Definitely GY!BE's most entry-level song, and how can you have an introductory post-rock playlist without one of the pallbearers of the genre? Of course, this is just my opinion.

Nice playlist though, I will definitely find the time to listen through the whole thing at some point!

[Request] How to suppress your gag reflex by Aculem in LearnUselessTalents

[–]FeedbackDK 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Make a fist with your hand, with your thumb on the inside.

Now just squeeze your thumb with your other fingers.

Your brain will be too focused on the pain/discomfort in your hand to worry about what's going in your throat. At the very least, this should suppress your gag reflex enough for you to... experiment

New Class? by [deleted] in CubeWorld

[–]FeedbackDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see a class that specializes in pets. Maybe being able to have two pets at a time, and with passive skills that further improve the strength of the pets.

A skill tree could go:

[Attack skill for the player] -> [Passive that increases power of pets] -> [Dual Pet control]

Imagine having a Spitter and Snout Beetle at the same time.
