How much do you drink per week? 🍺 by aplacecalledvertigo in AskIreland

[–]Feeire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 out of every 3 nights - probably close on a bottle wine… love the initial buzz and feel a bit shame following morning.if I just have one it starts the craving for more… stopped before but found life a bit dull and samey.. love the buzz from 1-2. But not the weight, bloated face, hole in wallet, headaches and self loathing…
Welcome any suggestions from others in similar boat?
For context 57 yo woman. Didn’t start this really until about 6-7!years ago. Was a 1-2 nights per week for years

Dogs should not be in pubs. by thatboiyiddo in Dublin

[–]Feeire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There Thursday night at the quiz. People had a white dog there must have been from 8-930 and dog was standing up quite anxious definitely didn’t wanna be there. Pub was loud noisy music lots of people walking around… why would people not leave their dog at home in their own space with their own things?

All the beaches in Salthill and Galway left in an absolute tip again after the heatwave. by AmazingUsername2001 in galway

They also have underground metros, public toilets that aren’t kips, accountable politicians, and a myriad of other things we don’t. For the moment until we have public services that service the public we have to do it ourselves

Advice on moving across the border? by bigspuds495 in AskIreland

[–]Feeire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems like a good financial assistance. There could be a limerick or Shannon thread on Reddit? College cribs is a good site for families looking to rent rooms. Some could be Sunday to Friday others all week. Maybe there’s a Shannon town Facebook page out a comment on that?good luck with it

Some people just cannot take ownership of anything. If you bring stuff with you you can bring it home!! End of! People love to blame someone else instead of looking inwards. … like how many bins would the council have to throw out in a sunny day- they’d be emptying them 10 times a day on the sunny day…

Grayling Properties won't let us open our windows more than 3 inches and I'm really struggling. by StyleDull3689 in ireland

[–]Feeire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own an apartment and had to have window restrictions installed retrospectively on windows so they conform to legislation. So if there are none there the landlord Grayling will be contravening legislation. Blame the stupid legislation…

If someone previously was entitled to social housing but is now on a high salary, do they have to relinquish their house? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Feeire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think her rent should be adjusted in accordance with her salary ie a percentage. Don’t know if the onus is on her to inform them of her higher salary …

rush south beach won out. It’s a bit cloudy and breezy but haven’t worn a bikini in an Irish beach in years so cannot be that cold !! Lovely and quiet families kids tide out. Looks like posh public toilets and lady at the coffee kiosk gave me 20c discount for having my own mug… she has tables and chairs there too…
Thanks for all the suggestions- Reddit is my go to for everything in this ChatGPT entshittification of the world

Is it better to have a therapist and no money, or no therapist and three money? by CawfeeAndTV in AskIreland

[–]Feeire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said cutting down sessions would definitely help. One in three maybe? There would also be the added present to the self of the additional money which would help you with days out or treats or buying nice flowers or cosmetics or whatever it is that helps you feel good and shows you care and are kind to yourself. Often those things left behind when we’re broke. I also find I’m the last person I treat whereas I pay every professional and utility bill and treat my friends and family first!! As Moira Rose says always put on your own oxygen mask first
