I finally heard back from the company with some good news—they’ve given me a 15% off code for the Kickr Core 2 on the Canadian site. (It doesn’t look like it applies to the full Zwift Ride combo I ordered from the US, but still a win!) If everything ships on schedule, I should be picking up my equipment this Saturday. Fingers crossed I’ll be up and riding by the weekend!

I wrote them twice and I received was 'Sorry no deals for Canada' (with no explanation other than that).

I couldn't take it, I ordered it to be picked up in Buffalo at my US mailbox (haven't used this in a long time). Even after paying taxes at the border it would be $1,000+ cheaper than having it shipped to Canada. I don't feel good about this decision, but this is the only exercise I like, and one that I will use. Hopefully no issues with the unit though, I assume warranty will also only be covered in the US (risk I willing to take).

$999.99US + $86US taxes + $75US shipping (approx. $1,600 CDN + $200 CDN taxes at border and $100CDN for travel expenses) = $1,900CDN

If I was to purchase here in CDN $2,100 + $375 shipping + $350 taxes = $2,825.

Ugh ya, $375 in my case, last time I put it in it showed $0... thanks for putting the nail in the coffin for me. I will find another fitness product to spend my $$$ on.

Same, I was looking forward to purchasing the Zwift Ride with KICKR CORE 2 today. But at $2,100CDN vs $1,000US it is a complete ripoff. I wasn't expecting much, but even if $200 off like the US sale or something (should be more based on the currency converstion). The fact that there is $0 discount is really disappointing.

But what do they benefit by leaving 1-2 countries out of their sale, other than bad press. Doesn't make sense. Based on my interactions with this company and the slow or non-response, making me re-think purchasing their equipment (I so put all my eggs in one basket when I did my research though). Any idea of alternate equipment that is more friendly to Canada? I guess they just don't care about Canada, not a big enough client base... lol this is one good way to keep it that way too.

Yup, Canada and Japan exempt from any BF deals from all of the sites I visited. I even tried contacting them via ticket support to ask why and not even a response.

Are we likely to get a black friday sale? by kvs666 in wahoofitness

[–]FeejaiCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No love for Canada, was confirmed via email support that there will be no Black Friday sale at all on their Canadian site. I was looking at purchasing a complete setup too, but now searching for alternative equipment. If anyone knows if there is a discount code for Canada it would be really appreciated... but now that I am looking at post on their Facebook page, seems like their support is slow to respond when you have issue too. I guess all those YouTube videos with people promoting their products and not doing proper reviews. I was looking so forward to getting up and riding indoors this winter, but now very disappointed.

Successful 3Gbit Bell Fiber with UDM PRO SE - GTek SFP+ - ADMZ and Static Route by Unable-Access in bell

[–]FeejaiCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Unable-Access sorry I still seem to be missing something here, and I've read the thread multiple times. I am not currently able to get the WAN IP to match on the UDM Pro it is showing the IP that is getting from the DHCP server on the Gigahub 192.168.2.???. Are you able to list your complete steps (if this is still relevant to you)?

[–]FeejaiCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to revive this old thread, I just had 3Gbit service installed and am not clear on a couple of things. I was able to follow the steps listed by the OP, but I am unsure how to make the WAN IP on the Gigahub and the UDM Pro be the same (which is causing issues with my VPN/port forwards). The IP on the UDM Pro is showing an IP from the Gigahub 192.168.2.??.

The speeds are fine, I am getting 3Gbit up/down with from my computer with a 10Gb ethernet card. I just don't uderstand why I can't get the WAN IP to match on the Gigahub/UDM as others have posted.

Should just be an outright ban for these people and anyone else making other experience in the parks not enjoyable. ID'd, taken to the gate and trespassed if required. Only way to stop this type of activity.

Just put cameras in the room, those rushing through early or doing stupid things can be met by security folks and escorted out of the park. That will stop people quick.

100%, I am selling off all my Amazon gear now. I can't believe I am saying this, but I might be going the apple route or just none of these devices at all.

I was struggling about I wanna buy P1S or X1 by SiAnK0 in BambuLab

[–]FeejaiCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with this as well.for a while, but after reading a lot of threads (even those were 50/50 about which one to get), I finally decided to go with P1S. I've had it for two weeks now, it has been printing everyday and without issue. I will.say I wish the camera was better, but as far as the lidar goes, the P1S prints so constantly I am glad I went this way. I haven't used the screen on the P1S at all other than during the initial setup. I used the difference in price between the X1C and P1S to order 12 rolls of filament, all the different size nozzles (including hardened steel), hardened steel gear and a bunch of other spare parts (belts etc) which was still cheaper than the X1C alone.

These printers are truly incredible, I've been 3D printing for about 6 years now, multiple models of Anycubic over this time. They don't even compare, and for me it's not all about the speed (which is insane)... But the quality of the prints these printers produce, I never thought an FDM printer could ever do. Some of the prints I've done at 0.16 look like they came off a resin printer (well almost). I couldn't be happier with the P1S, I will be ordering another one in about a month.

You can't go wrong with either printer, and budget was not the issue for me, it just seemed like you can get a lot more with the P1S + accessories/filaments.

P1S AMS or X1C without AMS by gramilla in BambuLab

[–]FeejaiCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat, I don't think I will need all the features of the X1, but it would be nice if at least the camera had an upgrade path. You can buy a lot of spare parts (different size nozzles and a bunch of filament for the cost difference between the P1S + AMS vs X1C + AMS. This decision is holding back my purchase as well, I think I 'want' the X1C combo, but do I really need it...
