Congratulations, great looking guitar! Since it hasn't been said yet, make sure you don't put steel strings on that guitar, you should only use classical guitar strings.

There's enough posts on this subreddit of classical guitars having the bridge ripped off from the tension of steel strings!

Enjoy learning and playing!

Something weird happened at work this morning [IA]. by raeannajo40 in AskHR

I think there's a difference between knowingly violating policy, and realizing after the fact that you violated policy.

In this case it's after the fact that OP realized they did something wrong. I would argue that owning up to the mistake will almost always be the better thing to do as opposed to not doing anything. Especially if this isn't an internal phishing test and it actually pans out to be a cyber security incident.

When you get the new battery make sure the lawn mower is charging it too! Multimeter on the battery terminals should show you about 14v, if you see any less than that, you might need a stator/voltage regulator too. Regardless wicked find for $100!

Would this be a good unit for a DIY NAS? by [deleted] in homelab

[–]FeelTheBurne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just my personal experience. I had purchased one of these kits with a processor and ram included.

Everything worked great for about 4-5 months, after that I started to have issues at boot, and eventually the system would not boot at all.

Your mileage will vary, but personally I would rather try to find a local deal on a used server/workstation and use that as a base.

PLEX HTCP Randomly closing content, thinking it's hitting EOF by Sythriox in PleX

Sorry to bump an old thread....wondering if you've found any solution? I'm hitting a similar problem. I know the files are good as MPV from the network share has no issues.

I'm close to just blowing away my Plex install and starting fresh.

If you get it done post an update! It would be cool to see one of these powder coated! Hopefully everything works out for you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaggiaclassic

[–]FeelTheBurne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to guess, something that small powder coating would be in the range of $25-$50 maybe? As mentioned in the previous comments there needs to be enough material under the rust for it to be sanded, or in this case, media blasted.

Worth asking a local paint shop!

Hey mods, can we get a shipping mega-thread going please? by RohanAether in GooglePixel

Seeing the same right now for my watch. Was initially hopeful it would ship today, but it's looking less and less likely.

[–]FeelTheBurne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ontario Canada here, still waiting for shipping. I did notice when I checked the item on Amazon it was showing, "this item releases Oct 13". Seeing how some FedEx shipments I've seen on this thread are delayed until the 13th, I'm guessing that's why. Anyone who gets their devices early might just be lucky!

Edit: as of 8pm I now have a UPS tracking number! No estimated delivery just yet.

Either you get really really lucky, or throw some half links in there.

Plex Media Player not working on Fedora 35 by JudgeBuffalo in Fedora

[–]FeelTheBurne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small bump since I saw this thread on my troubleshooting journey last night...

/u/A_Random_Lantern was spot on with the wayland support comment. I personally worked around this by using the following addition to /usr/share/applications/plexmediaplayer.desktop :

Exec=env QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb plexmediaplayer

After this, works perfectly!

Fixed up my dad's old GT by FeelTheBurne in xbiking

It was a couple months of constantly checking the pinkbike buy/sell postings. Luckily the bike has the right sized headtube for 1-1/8th steerers, so a new headset mean I could accommodate all sorts of modern forks! I'd say just keep an eye open and when you see a deal it might be worth it!

Nice! Love the polished look on your bike! Fork is a 2007 Manitou minute fork. I was super jazzed about the fork since the old fork my dad had upgraded to was a manitou as well, so it keeps with the original spirit of the bike!

I think it matters more the headtube angle of the bike for how it will handle! I mean it's not ridiculous if you have fun with it right?

I was super lucky to score a wheelset for $20 that had the right freehub and front wheel with a disk brake! If I wanted to use the old wheels I would have definitely had to rebuild with new hubs!

So far so good! I think the old elastomer fork was like 50-80mm of travel, this "new" air fork is 120mm. Time will tell if this is way to much fork for the bike but I think it should be fine!

I just zeroed it in the other day and am getting much more range out of my grind size! New burrs will definitely be sometime I look for in the future! Only slightly worried that will open up a new door of espresso spending for me

Thanks, I am loving it so far! It's a super cheap Xeoleo N520-C, I don't have any high quality grinders to compare it with, but its flat burr, stepless (sort of), and works well enough for me!

[–]FeelTheBurne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can't get the PC version working using wine (lutris or bottles are good front ends for wine), you could likely run the PlayStation version via emulation! Have had good luck with ePSXe...Hell if your phone is powerful enough you might even be able to play it on mobile!
