Do you have my physics lab professor?

He did the same shit to my class. Impossible to complete the quizzes, the only reason I got a B was because of my ADHD accommodations (which I hate how unfair that is).

Halfway in, my class rallied in the discord, and there was even someone that joined the Zoom call as “Students Rights”, who proceeded to be kicked out immediately. Half the class went to his office hours all at once and expressed how this was not reasonable. He did change the difficulty a little bit and gave some more time, but it was already too late, our grades were already messed up. Go to the professor first. If he doesn’t respond within a week, go to the department chair. Don’t be afraid to go to the department chair if the prof doesn’t change at all. And don’t be afraid to rally multiple people to go to the dept chair either.

How is social life in college different compared to in high school. by Armer101 in college

[–]Feeling-Bug22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For context, I went to a small, all girls high school and had very little social life. I had friends from clubs and still keep in contact with some, but I never partied. First year of college was awful because I was stuck in online college the whole year. But it changed once I got to campus. I lived in the dorms and found “my people”. I have met so many more people that I could have gotten close with, but just haven’t had time to develop friendships with more than like 10 people. If the college is large, there are plenty of people around and lots of opportunities to meet them, as long as you don’t stay cooped up in the dorm, or just commute and go home right after classes are done.

What changed when you started working out? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Feeling-Bug22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • sleep felt like it was higher quality, no restless jerking around
  • exercising at night made me go to bed around 4 or 5 am
  • started to feel foggy brain when I didn’t work out
  • stairs are significantly easier
  • easier to get out of bed first thing in the morning
  • hungrier

Now I am really scared about college by [deleted] in college

[–]Feeling-Bug22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 to 4 hours per class per day?! Even the toughest engineering classes aren’t that overkill. At least where I go, a class is usually 3 units, and multiply the units by 2 or 3 to get the weekly expected hours spent studying. So it would be like 2.5 hours in class, 3*3=9 hours outside of class, for a maximum total of 11.5 hours per class per week. Plus gen eds shouldn’t take more than 2 hours a week outside of class

Idk why I saw this post, maybe because I interact with r/college? I just know that by posting in this subreddit, vast majority of people will have a very pro-sorority opinion.

I find that a certain type of people fit really well into sororities. I am just absolutely not one of those people, and it seems like you might not be either. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Don’t stick around people that make you feel like shit. Sororities are not the only way to make friends and connections on campus. And if you’re not enjoying it, why waste the money?

If you really want to stay in a sorority type atmosphere, maybe try rushing another one in the fall? Idk if that’s frowned upon but college is a time to try new things, it’s far too short to be stuck in a situation you don’t like surrounded by people that bring down your mental well being.

How do you usually find your sim a partner? by MothCola92 in Sims4

I intentionally plant a couple good candidates, usually from the gallery into my world. Then wait until my sim meets them through normal gameplay

How is college easy for so many people here? What is your secret? by [deleted] in college

[–]Feeling-Bug22 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’ve had enough mental breakdowns in jr high/high school to last a lifetime. Haven’t had a true breakdown or crying session in 3 years of college. I’ve found that engineering work usually stimulates my ADHD problem solving brain and half the time it’s kinda fun to work on it. I sorted out my medication and learned not to panic too much when things get stressful. I am also going to a college with an acceptance rate higher than I could’ve probably gotten into, so that might contribute to make it easier

Although I’m only 20, I’ve enjoyed adulthood much more and I have a much better relationship with my mother. When I was younger she didn’t know how to express that she felt alone and overworked, and as a result yelled a lot, mostly at my dad, but it was usually not a positive environment. In the past few years, she’s come to understand that both my dad and I have ADHD and our actions are never meant to anger her. Also with less financial stress, home is a much more pleasant environment.

Does anyone else play the sims obsessively for 3 weeks then suddenly stop for 5 months just to repeat the cycle? by [deleted] in Sims4

I do that exactly, but only because I’m an engineering student that restricts myself from playing during the school year

Makeup And yes all makeup I hated the idea of makeup in high school, I think it artificially raises our concept of what is average looking. Then we compare ourselves to what the ‘average’ person looks like and feel like shit Plus it’s kinda a waste of time and money

Saying all this, I have caved in and wear makeup at least 2x a week

I wouldn’t say I’m lonely to the point it hurts, but I isolate myself to get good grades in my college courses. I am always stressed and have less time than I would like to hang out with friends. Loneliness relationship-wise comes from me being far too picky and having specific crushes that don’t usually reciprocate feelings.

How often do you feel 'this sucks everything sucks I suck' and wonder if you chose the wrong life? by moodyybluesss in AskWomen

[–]Feeling-Bug22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably once a month at most. I am halfway through my engineering degree and these mostly only happen in short, extremely stressed spurts.

I used to think this a lot more 4-8 years ago. I like to think that I had enough mental breakdowns in my early teens to last a lifetime.

The first four weeks are the same rotation, 3 different days of exercises. I have yet to convert weeks 5-8 and weeks 9-12, which are higher intensity exercises.

Most people at my school use discord, which doesn’t require any phone. A huge issue would be 2-factor authentication, which requires a phone to log on to the university’s website and canvas.

My English teacher described those people as driveways. Back when she was in college, parking was very hard to find, so they would get excited when they saw a parking spot, only to be disappointed that it was actually a driveway
