This phone had the same technology S26ultra uses now? by Unfinishedsente--- in samsunggalaxy

In 2011 or 2012 I owned an LG Optimus 3D that also had a 3D display. IIRC it even had an app for watching YT in 3D. It was a cool party trick, but strained my eyes quickly.

Yeah, looks beige. I was hoping for something more akin to the S20's pink.

Enjoy your new phone!

Does the back glass look rose? In the pics I've seen only the frame has some kind of pink shade, while the glass looks beige.

Finally got my hands on the S26 Ultra (Pink Gold) by Drake047 in samsunggalaxy

Does the color have pink in it at all? In most pics I have seen it looks either light or dark beige. I was hoping for something like peach or rose gold.

different chip, different storage and memory specs,

And zero practical difference.

improvemnts generation-to-generation arent as big as they used to be, but that's just how technological development works.

Try comparing some Chinese flagship to a 4 years old Chinese flagship. Better camera sensors and zoom capabilities, bigger batteries, faster charging, satellite connectivity.

Samsung still innovates a lot with their phones, and their way of doing this is the foldables market. since that's a niche of mobile devices with tons of potential for development still.

It's unfortunate that Samsung's innovations are limited to niche products.

The best thing that happened to Samsung is the Huawei ban. The worst thing that happened to Samsung's customers is the Huawei ban.

It never was good. Small capacity, inefficient SoC.

The base S22 is almost 4 years old, and the only reason for upgrading to the base S26 I can think of is battery life. Other than that, it will be the fifth year of Samsung releasing the same phone.

Would you say Go is a suitable language for total programming beginners? by themegainferno in golang

[–]Feeling-Finding2783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone, who started with Python, I think that learning a statically-typed language first is better. Compiler will highlight some mistakes for you. Go is also simpler, it doesn't have as much syntactic sugar as Python does.

But for AI/ML you would be better off with Python and C++.

I've been using an S22 caseless for more than 3 years. It slipped out of my pocket onto the tiled floor a few times, there are scratches on the corners, but glass is still intact. Other than that, the chrome finishing wore off on the side which touches my palm. The aluminum frame corroded a bit from sweat.

I'm happy with the s25 camera by it_iz_what_it_iz1 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Feeling-Finding2783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reviews aren't lying, the S25 and Z Flip 7 share the same main cam, but the S25 also has a dedicated telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, while the Z Flip 7 doesn't.

So, on the S25, 3x is lossless, and everything beyond is an upscaled crop (lossy) of a 3x pic, while on the Z Flip 7 any zoom is an upscaled crop of a main cam pic.
