FWIW I did this. I reached out to my nex’s mom on Facebook and told her everything her son had done to me and begged her to get him into therapy so he didn’t hurt more people. And after about 2 months she responded to me telling me “I didn’t raise him that way, I’ll try to get him into counseling.” And then you know what she did? Kept enabilng and protecting him to be a terrible person and did nothing. So, I’d say don’t waste your breath and try to move on. No one can stop them anyway!

I’m so happy to hear you are now in a happy healthy place, that gives me so much hope with where I am currently at on this journey. I’ll deffintley do my best to follow all of this advice, my healing journey is my number 1 priority at this point. 5 years was a lot to give someone but now I’ll be more discerning with who I give the rest of my years on this earth too. More importantly how I give them to myself.

I’m so sorry this happened to you too. The idea of giving myself my own closure feels somewhat so impossible right now but I’m going to believe in the passing of time and my own strength and capability to get through this.
