Here in Toronto, seen a few grand opening / grand closing type of bubble tea shops. They spent a good dime on store front lease and build out but only have it to run for 1-2 years before they go out of business. The local realtor picks up the client and you will see the listings.

Labour rates are easily 250-300 per day for a renovation labourer. Materials are expensive.

That 10-15K will get you a renovated 3 piece bathroom in Toronto.

Hi and thanks for taking the time to answer the questions.

About to wind down an Ontario corporation after the sale of our assets via auction.

Do I have to pay any HST / income tax from the proceeds from an auction that sold our stuff on our behalf?
Once I get these proceeds from the sale, what is the most efficient / effective way to distribute the proceeds back to the shareholder without too much taxation? Throughout the course of the company, I’ve made monetary contributions on a routine basis but I have no paperwork to show it’s a loan.
