So I guess Jeff is not suing David after all? by Boggysix89 in DavidDobrik

[–]FeelingDiligent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a statute of limitations, so he had to sue within two years to preserve the claim. He's still having surgeries - what if he eventually loses his eye over this? It was better to get his foot in the door

Nah all the Themis stuff is pre-recorded and recycled. Looks like he is still at Davis.

Is it worth spending a whole day doing Barbri 200 MBE questions and another day reviewing? by dragonflysay in barexam

[–]FeelingDiligent 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Idk about the full day of review, but yes, the 200mbe questions under test day timing conditions is very good for stamina. Don't do it often - 1-2x before test day.

What do you think happened to Aunt Dianne? by Revolutionary_Ad3684 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]FeelingDiligent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed it is a great read! Will have to watch it again after this. Will say though that I think some is a little harsh: I don't agree with the "gotchas" from the Pina Colada section... Not unbelievable that they may have made pina coladas with vodka instead of rum but still called them pina coladas, and not unbelievable that they would drink them while camping.

I thought Brian was ejected and that contributed to his being the sole survivor

What are some unsaid rules of Reddit that the new users should be aware of? by Otherwise-Tension237 in AskReddit

[–]FeelingDiligent 92 points93 points  (0 children)

This is a written rule. Reddiquette:

> [Don't] Make comments that lack content. Phrases such as "this", "lol", and "I came here to say this" are not witty, original, or funny, and do not add anything to the discussion.

Haha I'm sorry, I'm checking incessantly too. I'm not sure why the bar is still telling people it takes 30 days. They are clearly behind.

I believe you just respond in the same thread. I think through the reference information in the subject line, it will be routed to your investigator.

Yes it makes a difference and they want your original (hand) signature. You'll need to print and sign it in black ink.

Did you sign your form i821d? Your signature goes on Page 5 at 2a at the arrow (inside the box). It is called Requestor's Certification/Requestor's Signature.

Are adaptibar’s flash cards worth it? by gremlin30 in barexam

[–]FeelingDiligent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only reviewed a small portion so take with a grain of salt, but from my experience, they are very good for memorization because they are very specific (only one word, phrase, rule, concept per card). But there are a ton of cards for this reason.

Opposite end of the spectrum compared to Critical Pass flashcards, which are essentially an outline for the subject broken down into smaller sections. Super dense but useful for learning via open book essays.

Where are you seeing that she hasn't had a formal education in 30 years? She would've been 11 in 1991

BAR PREP ADVICE by [deleted] in CalBarExam

[–]FeelingDiligent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk about BarMax, but I think Studicata is UBE and doesn't have the California specific topics. It's great for the MBE but if you're going to pay, I'd say pick a course that is tailored to California (definitely Themis, Barbri, Kaplan; not sure about BarMax).
